THRIVE KNITTERS & CROCHETERSEach year in the fall The Fountains Knitters and Crocheters are honored for the creative sweaters they have knitted and crocheted during the year with an exhibit throughout the building. Twenty years ago this group of residents paired their love for knitting with the desire to make a difference in the greater community. Their acts of dedication and kindness have resulted in 9,000 sweaters donated to underserved children in the Tucson community.
In addition to yarn donations they accept monetary contributions then used to purchase yarn. Please be sure to view the unique sweaters which will be displayed in The Fountains hallways through October. We are really fortunate to have such talented residents contributing to the wholeness of the community.
There are no mistakes, no coincidences. All events are blessings given to us to learn from. — Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
