analytics recorder:

# Corrected Problems

1 The metric collection interval can not synchronize the time specified by SYNCVAL value in the following condition:

- When the operator changes only INTVAL value (SYNCVAL value is unchanged).

2 The metric collection program does not recognize changes to the SMF global recording

intervals. The symptom occurs when SYNCSMF is activated for the second time such as following condition.

- The INTERVAL parameter value is changed in this respective order SYNCSMF -> manual(INTVAL and SYNCVAL) -> SYNCSMF.

Extracting data from SMF Record

If you need to extract data from the Hitachi Data Systems SMF Record and do

not have a 3rd- party tool (such as SAS/MXG or Intellimagic) for this, Hitachi

Data Systems can provide the export capability. Ask your local account

consultant or GSS representative for information.

Installation precautions

For details on installing mainframe analytics recorder, see “Installation and setup”

in the Mainframe Analytics Recorder User Guide.

Before the installation, ensure the required data set capacity, the number

of directories in the distribution libraries, and the target libraries.

If one or more of Mainframe Analytics Recorder, HTSM for Mainframe, and

BC Manager exist in the same system, register the user SVC from the

newest version of any of these products.

The version displayed in the KTA400I message of the RSDSPENV command is as

follows:
