E n d t h i s It all started with that tragic hostage incident our years ago,and now that single incident has caused so must stri e that China iswilling to raise the curtains o hell against our country.

More so, the drama is added with the unrelenting maritimeterritorial disputes on West Philippine Sea straining deeply our dip-lomatic relations to the said country. I this continues, our economyand government affairs will surely suffer a great asco. Tis melodrama our country is having with China is push-ing away the pot o opportunities rom us.

Given the inuential scope o China and not to mention itsmilitary schemes and capacity, i this would aggravate more, it willnot only create economic ailures but airborne threats o possiblewar and terrorism that will surely drag our country to damnation. Hence, instead o setting up ences, the government mustmake amends and come in understanding with China or stretch-ing the issue and leaving it hanging will surely not help our countryand economy.

o this end, we must brace together to call onto our govern-ment to end this. End this stri e that surely will breed hate and thusonly will grassroot to a cycle o hatred and thus proli erate diplo-matic anguish to the coming generations. o conclude, setting aside a little o the government’s pridewill surely not choke ours being a Filipino.

I lef with a choice against prosperity and stri e, surely oneis to choose the ormer over the latter. Tus, deliberately we mustherald onto the government to make a move right now be ore itbecomes late.

We must, as citizens o this country, conglomerate togetherto demand rom the government its supreme duty on us, that is,

provide or our general wel are which includes our prosperity andtantamount to everything else, our sa ety.For i China will rage a war against us, truth o the matter

is, we cannot come equal to what they are capacitated as o the mo-ment. So, to conserve liberty and li e – end this!

he issues thathave enveloped theVice President Je-

jomar Binay concerning his al-leged billion-peso wealth are un-deniably stirring not only theeyes but also the ears o Filipinos. Rooting rom VP Binay’s po-litical career and success, one willtruly come to appreciate what he hasdone to Makati when he was mayorto the city. However, now that he hasbecome the vice president, and withhis aspirations o becoming the nextpresident, some have painted colorson his canvass – throwing muds o various accusations ranging rommalexercise o power to corruption. o some extent, judg-ing quickly out rom what comes

rom the news surely underminesVP Binay’s right to be heard. How-ever, his previous withdrawal roma supposed debate with Sena-tor Antonio rillanes IV, ormedclouds o doubts and con usionsto the ew skeptics and as expect-ed, it did not miss the ickly mindso his political rivals and analysts. With this, he had de initelygiven his political oes a room ordiscussion and de initely did enter-tain their doubts against his wealthand political intentions. Withouta doubt, VP Binay cannot escapethe conscientious minds and me-ticulous eyes o Juan dela Cruz.

But i he has nothing tohide then in the hands o truth, surely our minds will be cleared

rom doubts and con usions. For ihe has nothing to hide then in thehands o truth, VP Binay must notbe a raid o . In the hands o truth, only then the country will be set ree.

Despite all the cun-ning and air play, whatevertruth all the accusations againsthim hold, only Binay knows.

In the year 2012, the former Rizal Park

was renovated and is now called Guingona Park which is derived after Teofisto Jamora Guingona, Sr., the first

governor of the undivided Agusan province (1913-1917).

And now, the Guingona Park has become a passerby’s hub,

a place where every lonely, wandering, and searching Butu-

anon finds refuge, shelter and breath of fresh and warm air.

In my five years of existence in Butuan City,

I witnessed the changes of the Guingona Park from before

up to the present. As I pass by there, local folks stay in the

park finding and meeting friends. Others s tay there to observe

the usual life and move of the city’s progress. In here, memories

with friends eating Filipino street foods leave imprints and the

park itsel f has become the living witness with all the joys

tears each and every Butuanon has shed. More so, the two acacia trees which give fresh air to the people staying here

become monumental pedestal since its establishment. At n
