I am forty years old, rather tall and I have blue eyes and short black hair. I wear casual clothes as I teach students in a relaxed atmosphere. I enjoy my job because I get to meet and help so many different people from all over the world. During my spare time, I like playing tennis which I play at least three times a week. I also love listening to classical music and I must admit that I spend a lot of money on buying new CDs! I live in a pretty seaside town on the Italian coast. I enjoy eating great Italian food and laughing with the likable people who live here.

One evening, my mom was downstairs doing the laundry. As usual, she was trying to do 10 jobs at once when she grabbed the wet clothes from the washer and tossed them into the dryer. She slammed the dryer door, turned the time, and started to run upstairs. All of a sudden, a whining sound stopped her in her tracks. The sound was coming from the dryer. She yelled for me. As I raced downstairs, the sound grew louder and louder. I flung open the dryer door. There to our surprise was Mica, our cat. He looked like someone who had just gotten off a Tilt-A-Whirl ride. His eyes bugged out, and his hair looked like a cartoon character with a finger in an electric outlet. Mica darted out of the dryer and up the stairs. After that, Mom always checked out the dryer before slamming the door, and Mica stayed clear of the laundry room for a long, long time.

Bryant Middle School needs to add a ramp to its auditorium stage. State law says that everyone has to have equal access to important parts of the school, and the stage is important. In this year’s spring play. The student who is playing the Wizard of Oz is in a wheelchair. A ramp is needed so he can get up on the stage and also move down into the audience during performances. A ramp also would open drama to more students. That’s the most important reason for it. Putting in a ramp isn’t just about state laws or one student. The ramp would give more students the chance to perform.

Most brass instruments are made out of brass, of course, or some other kind of metal. They get their sound from blowing into the mouthpiece. The size of the mouthpiece and the length of tubing create different pitches. Cornets have small mouthpieces and short tubing, so they can play high notes. Trombones have medium mouthpieces and tubing, so they hit the middle range of notes. Tubas and sousaphones have huge mouthpieces and lots of tubing, which is why they sound so low.

The board I bought is called the Atomic Storm. If you stood it up next to me, you would see that it is almost as tall as I am. It is about 10 inches wide, which makes it a lot wider than an old-fashioned ski. The front is called the nose, and it is rounded, like the end of a paper clip. The design on it is awesome. Bright orange rows of flames spill all the way down the shiny black center. When you get to the back, or the tail, of the board, you find out that the fire is coming from a slick red race car. The tail of the board is rounded, just like the nose.

It takes three things to form a right angle. It starts with two rays. A ray begins at a point and goes on forever in a straight line. Second, each of the rays must share one endpoint, or vertex. Third, the angle between the two rays must measure 90 degrees. It’s as simple as that!
