New: Hedge Fund Investor Analyst
Investor Analyst gives you an entirely new perspective on investors in the hedge fund universe, allowing you to easily see how an investor’s portfolio allocations compare with its peers.
This data visualization tool allows you to generate custom reports comparing a specific investor’s allocations, preferences and investment plans against any group of peers desired. Using the Alternate Scenarios tool, you can also conduct ‘what if’ tests for an investor’s asset class allocation, investment preferences and future plans.
How to: use Investor Analyst on Hedge Fund Online to compare an investor against its peers investing in the hedge fund asset class.
Step 1: Under Investors on Hedge Fund Online, click on “Investor Analyst” on the side menu.
Step 2: First, you need to select the investor you want to compare against a peer group. Enter the investor’s name and then click “Next”.

New: Hedge Fund Investor Analyst
Step 3: To create the peer group, you can either enter the names of specific investors on the left, or use the three search options – “Investor Type” “Location” or “Assets under Management ($bn)” – to generate a list of matching investors. When you have entered your peer group criteria, click “View Results”. Matching investors will appear in a list below.
Step 4: Check the box(es) of the investor(s) you want to include in the peer group and click “Add”. This will move your chosen investor(s) to the target list on the right hand side. This peer group can also be given a name and saved for analysis at a later date.
Step 5: When ready, click “Generate Report”. Step 6: Your summary report is now available. You can visualize how the investor you are interested in compares with the peer group you created across various metrics, customize chart views, cross-reference the underlying data for each chart and download data by clicking on the “Data Pack” icon. You can also download the whole report in PDF format.
