The Times They Are A-Changin’: 1960s and 1970s “Speed Dating” You will assume the character of a key activist or leader of the 1960s (and 1970s). Your task is to research your leader, create a brief bio, and answer the following five questions on the chart on the back. You will also need a nametag with your name, image, and a quote you are famous for (if you can find one). You may earn bonus points for dressing the part or bringing a “prop” that helps identify you. (Be creative but respectful). During the speed dating, you will have about 2 minutes to share your story and to listen to the story of the person with whom you are paired. Then students will rotate and interview as many potential leaders as possible in the time allowed. At the end of the activity you will choose which of the fellow leaders you feel most and least compatible with and why.
