Christians are NOT immune to great difficulties.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 愿 颂 赞 归 与 我 们 的 主 耶 稣 基 督 的 父 神 ， 就 是 发 慈 悲 的 父 ， 赐 各 样 安 慰 的 神 。我 们 在 一 切 患 难 中 ， 他 就 安 慰 我 们 ， 叫 我 们 能 用 神 所 赐 的 安 慰 去 安 慰 那 遭 各 样 患 难 的 人 。

God comforts us through other Christians too.For when we came into Macedonia, this body of ours had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn--conflicts on the outside, fears within. But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus - 2 Corinthians 7:5-6 我 们 从 前 就 是 到 了 马 其 顿 的 时 候 ， 身 体 也 不 得 安 宁 ， 周 围 遭 患 难 ， 外 有 争 战 ， 内 有 惧 怕 。但 那 安 慰 丧 气 之 人 的 神 藉 着 提 多 来 安 慰 了 我 们

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. – James 1:2-4 我 的 弟 兄 们 ， 你 们 落 在 百 般 试 炼 中 ， 都 要 以 为 大 喜 乐 ；因 为 知 道 你 们 的 信 心 经 过 试 验 ， 就 生 忍 耐 。但 忍 耐 也 当 成 功 ， 使 你 们 成 全 、 完 备 ， 毫 无 缺 欠 。

Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling – 2 Corinthians 5:1-2 我 们 原 知 道 ， 我 们 这 地 上 的 帐 棚 若 拆 毁 了 ， 必 得 神 所 造 ， 不 是 人 手 所 造 ， 在 天 上 永 存 的 房 屋 。我 们 在 这 帐 棚 里 叹 息 ， 深 想 得 那 从 天 上 来 的 房 屋 ， 好 像 穿 上 衣 服

Life is hard

And then you die

With Christ:But you can get comfort from GodAnd life’s hardness can make you a better, more joyful person

And you get to enjoy God and fullness forever

Have trusted your life with Christ?Keep cultivating your relationship with Christ.Don’t expect to avoid all big difficulties, but expect comfort and improvement as you rely on Christ.

Not convinced God is real?Why not explore?So much is at stake—for this life and after death.

Believe God and Christ are real, but have not trusted your life with them yet?

Why not take that step of faith?I don’t know anyone who has regretted this.
