2.RACEINFORMATION2.1RACINGNUMBERSAllcompetitorswillbeprovidedwithacompetitionnumberplate&numbersassignedbyBMXAwhichistheonlyplatetobeusedfortheentireNationalChampionshipsincludingtheOceania Championships on Wednesday 21 March 2018 including practice. Alterations /additionalstickersaddedtonumberplatesisnotpermitted.AllocationofracenumbersforJuniorandEliteclasseswillrespecttheUCIBMXPermanentCareerNumbers.Lettersavailableforselectionarelimitedto“W”and“A”only.2.2DRUGTESTINGAsmembersofBMXA,allentrantsmaybesubjecttoASADAtesting.2.3TRANSPONDERSTransponders will be used in conjunction with a finish line camera system at the BMXNationalChampionshipsforallracingexcludingparticipationclasses.2.4RACINGFORMATCurrentUCIRulesapplyusingScrambledMototransfersystemforallcategoriesexceptforparticipationclasses.Blockformatapplies.GatepositionsforMotosforChallenge,Cruiser&Masters will be random computer drawn, for Championship Classes as per UCI rule6.1.029forScrambledSeeding.GatepositionsforQualifiersandFinalsforallcategoriesasperUCIrule6.1.029bis2.5REGISTRATION(TherearetobeNOBIKESintheregistrationvenue)Registrationwillbeheldonthefollowingtimes:Sunday18March 3:00pm–6:30pmMonday19March 10:00am-4:00pmTuesday20March 8:00am–4:00pmWednesday21March 7:30am-10:00amThursday22March 7:30am-9:00am

2.6PRACTICEANDRACETIMESBMX Australia has created a separate document for the BMX National Championshipsscheduleforriderstouseasaguideforpracticeandracetimes.TheSchedulereleasedwillbe in draft format and is a guide only. The schedule will be available on www.bmxaustralia.com.au.BunburyBMXClubwillberunningagatepracticesessiononMonday19Marchfrom6pmto8pmatacost$5perrider.ThispracticewillbesplitintoagegroupsandwillbeadvisedontheBMXAandBMXWAwebsiteandsocialmediaplatformsinduecourse.2.8AWARDSAllathleteswhohaveplacedinthefinalsmustattendtheirrespectivepresentationawardsceremonyandmustwearraceappareltoawardsceremoniesexcludingclipshoes(coveredfootwearisrequired).Failuretodosowillresultinalossofaward(includingprizemoney).

5.AdditionalInformationTheBunburyBMXComplexislocatedontheCornerofWashingtonAveandRotaryAvenue,WithersWA6230.TheBunburyBMXComplexisapprox.2andahalfhoursdrivefromPerthInternationalandDomesticAirportand2hourstoPerthCBD.5.2BMXNationalMerchandiseBMXAustraliaMerchandisewillbeavailableforpurchaseOnlineandatTheBunburyBMXComplex.Youwillbeable topurchase2018NationalChampionship t-shirts,hats,hoodiesandotheritems.5.3LostandFoundLostandFoundcanbelocatedattheBMXAustraliamerchandisemarquee.5.4BMXFestivalIn2018,BMXAustraliawillhosttheinauguralBMXFestivalwhichwillbeheldonsiteafterracingandpresentations.Furtherdetailswillbereleasedshortly.

Annex1.BMXAustraliaWorldChampionshipQualification

The tables below define how riders will be selected for World Championship entryqualificationwhere theAustralianClasses runat theNationalChampionshipsdonotalignwithUCIWorldChampionshipClasses.

The criteria and subsequent selection for entry to theWorld Championshipswill only beapplied to riders who by the BMXA advertised deadline have advised their intention tocompeteintheWorldchampionshipshouldtheymakethequalification.WherethenumberofnominationsforanyWorldChampionshipClassbelessthanthemaximumallowedquota,theremainingpositionswillremainvacant.

Applicabletoalltables:• ThenumberofnominationsforeachAustralianClassisbasedontheclassenteredat

theNationalChampionshipand is independentofanysubsequentmergestomakeupminimumclassrequirementsforracing.
