Basic firearm safety will be reviewed, but the course focuses on low-light tactics, positional shooting, shooting on the move, the use of cover, accuracy and tactical firearm manipulation. *SBSD Safety Members need to be registered by their Training Administrator/Sergeant Course Location: Frank Bland Regional Training Center – Range Classroom E 18901 Institution Rd. San Bernardino, Ca. 92407 Required Equipment ➢ Duty handgun (three magazines), patrol rifle (two magazines) and shotgun ➢ Soft body armor or load bearing vest ➢ Duty belt w/holster and magazine carriers ➢ Ear/eye protection, appropriate clothing ➢ Weapon mounted tactical lights for each firearm and a handheld flashlight ➢ 500 rounds handgun ammunition ➢ 250 rounds rifle ammunition ➢ 50 shotgun rounds (40 buck-shot, 10 slug) ➢ All ammunition must be factory loaded, Re-loaded ammunition is not allowed
