Buteline Fittings

Buteline fittings are integrally strong and durable, moulded from thermoplastic and pre-fitted with annealed aluminium sleeves.

Buteline Clamp Tools

Buteline standard clamp tools are robust and easy to maintain – ensuring a reliable, long-lasting joint every time. ProClamp tools are available in 18mm and 22mm, and an electric clamp tool is also available (with separate 18mm, 20mm, 22mm and 28mm jaws).

Buteline PB-1 Pipe

Polybutene-1 (PB-1) is not a hybrid material, and was specifically developed for use with hot and cold potable water. Buteline Polybutene-1 pipe can withstand high temperatures and pressures, and complies with the AS/NZS 4020 Food Grade Standard.

The main advantages of PB-1 pipe are:

Increased flexibility No corrosion Superior strength (40% stronger than PE-X, and almost double the strength of PP-R and PE- RT, as

published in ISO9080 evaluation of PE-RT)

Reduced wall thickness gives larger pipe internal diameter resulting in higher flow rates whilst lowering energy costs Virtually no water hammer Excellent resistance to creep

Buteline Recycled Water and Rainwater Systems

Buteline also have available an extensive range of fittings and clearly identifiable coloured pipe with WaterMark approval as part of our Recycled Water (lilac) and Rainwater (green) systems.

The same easy installation process (see back page) applies, and no accidental cross-connection is possible with existing potable water supply as the Buteline Recycled Water and Rainwater systems are a different size (20mm).

Installation Demo Projects

1. Cut the pipe with the Buteline pipe cutter.

4. The process of installing the system is clean and quick, leaving a SECURE JOINT guaranteed!

2. Insert the pipe into the Buteline fitting. Ensure you push the pipe all the way (15mm) into the shoulder of the fitting.

3. Clamp approximately 2mm in from the end of the fitting, close the tool handles completely to the stops provided, and hold firmly for around 2 seconds then release.
