Thursday 21 NovemberWorld heritage site: Castle district (half day)During this half day walking tour you will visit the Castle district with its romanticnarrow lanes and one-story buildings, its charming Fishermen’s Bastion, the “jewel”of the castle district, the Matthias Church and the former Royal Palace.When we reach the hilly Buda side, you will take the cable car to the top to enjoy thebest panoramic view on the Pest side of the Danube. From here we will begin theguided tour of the former Royal Palace where you will also be able to visit theNational Gallery. The tour will continue to the Dísz tér and the romantic Tárnok Street where you willhave the opportunity to buy Hungarian handicrafts. Also you will see the Holy TrinitySquare and the tour will finish with a visit to the Matthias Church and theFishermen’s Bastion where you can enjoy a glass of mulled wine on the coveredMargaret terrace.We will then return to the Corinthia Hotel for lunch with the conference delegates.
