Working with artists, illustrators and graphic designers, London-based 17 Patterns produces British-made

superior-grade wallcoverings and companion fabrics.

Founded in 2014 by curator, Nosca Inc, 17 Patterns curates,manipulates and restructures specially-commissioned artworks

into a dynamic repeat. Colourways and textures are chosenunder guidance of a trusted team of interiors, fabric and colour

experts, all working in collaboration with the artists.

17 Patterns derives its name from the mathematicalclassification of a two-dimensional repetitive pattern, first

proven by Evgraf Fedorov in 1891. The design studio drawsinspiration from past and present design disciplines, delivering

a highly original display of pattern and colour.

Artworks and designs are taken on a creative journey driven byexperimentation and innovation, injecting bold and exciting

designs into 21st century interiors.

All of 17 Patterns’ products are printed and manufactured in theUK using ethically-sourced paper.


C L O U D B U S T I N G

The sublime, 21st century Cloudbusting wallpaper is British contemporary artist, Paris’, and east London designer, Nosca Inc’s,debut collaboration for 17 Patterns. The dynamic pair introduce harmonious moods into your interior with a beautiful aesthetic of

clouds forming over a metallic backdrop. Delivered in a swirling mist of grey, peach, blue and marsala, this alluring mica collectiondisplays subtle textures and painting strokes that are organic yet constrained by the repeat of the pattern. Using unconventionaltechniques, the original painting was exposed to all of nature’s elements and weathered naturally in the English countryside to

enhance movement and texture within the watercolours. The result is a truly sophisticated and opulent wallpaper.

17 Patterns and British designer, Nosca Inc, deliver an on-trend interpretation of the geometric art form, Dazzle. During World War I,Dazzle camouflage was painted onto military ships to make it difficult for enemy fire to estimate a target's range, direction and speed.

Dazzle art has since inspired both global fashion and graphic design industries alike. The 17 Patterns Dazzle collection featurescompellingly dynamic shapes which interrupt and intersect each other in four contrasting monotone colours palettes. Our black andcharcoal editions subtly juxtapose textured decay with bold graphics for a more traditional take on this bold and timeless pattern.

Influenced by the Eternal City, British artists, Paris and Nosca Inc, deliver a fresh interpretation of the classic interior stripe with thisbeautiful Rome Deco collection. Marble textures merged with vertical stripes of varying scales forge the backbone of this

sophisticated design. To create juxtaposition between traditional beauty and decay, the original artwork was suspended from awindow, with paint poured down onto it, to allow gravity to imbue its own delicate stripes and textures into the composition.
