TAPPI’s Interna-tional Bioenergy and Bioproducts

Conference Oct 17-19 2012

Savannah, Georgia, USA

IBBS will focus on advancements and

commercialization of bioconversions that le-verage the forest prod-ucts manufacturing infrastructure, provid-ing you with a deeper analysis of the technol-ogy and economics in-volved in commercial-izing biorefineries.

IBBC will include technical presenta-tions, expert panels, case studies, and re-ports from projects that address feedstock and harvesting improve-ments to increase yield and quality of biomass; bioelectricity using combined heat and power (CHP); biocon-version technologies for wood and biomass; production of chemi-cals and transportation fuels from wood and biomass; and policies and incentives for bio-conversion projects.

This year IBBC will be co-located with the tAPPI PEERS Confer-ence, taking place Oc-tober 14-17. PEERS is the industry’s most comprehensive forum covering pulping, re-cycling, energy, power and recovery, corro-sion, MACT standards, environmental issues, sustainability and busi-ness trends, and along with IBBC, it creates a full week of valu-able education and learning on topics that apply directly to your job. Make the most of your experience by attending both confer-ences to enhance your knowledge, gain valu-able insights for your company, and network with individuals who share your same day-to-day issues. tappi.org/12ibbc

Energy from Waste,17-18

Sep 2012London, UK

I t has recently been announced that £3bn

of public money will go towards helping firms finance early-stage renewable energy schemes. Energy from Waste (EfW) generation has been highlighted as a key component to drive forward the development of the UK’s green investment industry. EfW invest-ment will also provide a boost to the UK government’s Green Deal initiative which is designed to improve energy efficiency for householders and businesses alike.

New plants have recently opened in Ip-swich, Suffolk, Bel-vedere, Dagenham and elsewhere which demonstrates that the opportunities within this growing industry are expected to soar. This rapid develop-ment reflects the grow-ing awareness of EfW potential.

SMi Group’s fifth an-nual Energy from Waste conference will provide you with the ideal plat-form to discuss these recent developments, where you will also re-ceive a comprehensive overview of the current EfW landscape in the UK through up-to-date case studies, lessons learned, success sto-ries, future plant proj-ects and regulatory updates. w w w. s m i - o n l i n e .co.uk

RENEXPO Po-land, Oct 17-18 2012, Warsaw

Poland

The highlights of the trade fair are wood

energy, biogas, bio-fuels, solar and water energy, heat pumps and energy efficiency. The event is a trade meeting during which economy and politics experts will discuss current topics, issues and trends in alterna-tive energy.

Exhibitors, visitors and international par-ticipants are expected during the trade fair. The business match-ing is a non binding opportunity for com-panies to meet an ap-propriate partner on a neutral ground. A great attention is paid to professional and quality organization of B2B meetings.

The German Joint Stand also contrib-ute to the international technology transfer. the IBEF® - Interna-tional Business Ex-change forum will be organized for interna-tional companies seek-ing international con-tacts and opportunities in new markets.

Simultaneously with the trade fair, for the second time innovative and valuable confer-ences will be organized in cooperation with Polish trade associa-tions. There will be a discussion supported by arguments about the presence and the future of new energy resources with experts exchanging their expe-riences. www.renexpo-war-saw.com
