Following public support Illogan Parish Council have taken on Illogan Park. The Council aims to improve and maintain the Park with appropriate facilities that are attractive for the people of the Parish to use and can be proud of.
Objectives:
Short term aims:• Refurbish current facilities• Repair the goal mouths• Maintain the area and facilities• Finalise plans for improvements to the Park• Submit and obtain planning permission for the improvements to the Park• Agree how the project will be phased and the time period• Play Area - update, improve or relocate
Long Term aims:• Deliver the improvements to the Park
Funding:
• Council funds from council tax – been building reserves for a few years
• The football and rugby clubs applying for grants• Council applying for grants• Seek donations of labour and materials from local suppliers and
contractors• Fundraising events• Grants are vital to the success of this project. The success of grant
applications will affect the size and scale of the scheme and when and how it will be delivered.
