BE A CREATOR OF

DISRUPTIONToday the term disruptive innovation describes almost any circumstance where a new technology brings in a significant business, industry or market change and disrupts the status quo. There are well-known examples like Netflix vs Blockbuster, Uber vs taxi industry and Airbnb vs hotel industry.

In pharmacy, we are facing ongoing government reforms as well as competition by discounters and other new market entrants like Amazon.

Our challenge as a member group is to develop a disruptive mindset that will keep us ahead of new entrants and create real value for our customers and patients.

At this year’s Members’ Forum, to become creators of disruption we will:

• Collectively develop a disruptive mindset to grow and expand your customer base vs your competition

• Look for opportunities in our pharmacies to service our customers better than our competitors

• Develop a plan that will take each of our pharmacy teams on the journey

I urge you to attend to take some time-out away from your business, to work on your business with like-minded peers to support you. I guarantee it will be time well spent that will see you achieve real outcomes for your pharmacy.

I look forward to welcoming you and your families in Hamilton Island for great learnings, fun and a plan to be a creator of disruption.

RegardsDarren DyeCEO
