Characteristics and Test Data T 10 1 General Purpose Contact Cleaner is a HCFC/alcohol based solvent formulated to remove light oils and other contaminants from electrical equipment. Features: l Non-corrosiv e l Non-stain ing l Quick drying l Leaves no residue Tests run on 3M 16-101 _general purpose contact cleaner show that it can effectively remove light oily deposits and dust from electrical contacts and connections. It quickly penetra tes, lifting the dirt and oil. which can then be flushed away with additional spray. 5. Application Techniques l Easy application by aerosol spray Caution: Solvents will attack some plastic surfaces. Test all plastic items for compatibility before use. 2. Applications The aerosol container makes 6 10 1 general purpose contact cleaner easy to use. The extension tube provided allows for more directed spray in hard to reach or small areas where more isolation of spray is needed. 6.
