In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Cover PageI have stuck to conventions for my magazine cover, using typical styling seen in the Billboard magazine, for my own. The layout and design I chose to use fits with the forms of a chart magazine so it will interest the particular audience it is aimed at, and the bright colours also makes it stand out.

Contents PageAgain, I have used typical conventions to base my contents page around. I decided to put part of the charts list on the contents, so when readers are flicking through they will want to buy the magazine and find out more. I also decided to have 3 different sections for the articles; on the cover, features, and weekly, enabling the audience to find what they want quickly so they dont lose interest.

Double Page SpreadMy double page spread is mainly based around the article itself, with a simple layout and images surrounding the text, so it looks sophisticated. I decided to do this because as a reader myself I liked getting lots of detail, but not huge amounts of text, so I made it more interesting by breaking it up but still having a fun article.
