Durham, North Carolina, is the fourth most populated city in the state of North Carolina. It is the home of the world famous and highly regarded Duke University, and North Carolina Central University.
Originally known as a Tobacco Town, Durham has grown well beyond its roots and the tobacco districts have been revitalized. The region has enjoyed an economic and cultural renaissance of sorts.
Having partnered with developers from around the world, Durham, has constructed the Durham Performing Arts Center and the new Durham Bulls Athletic Park, as well as regentrified the American Tobacco Historic District.
The area is peppered with a number of restaurants, entertainment venues and office spaced geared towards high tech entrepreneurs, investors and startups. The district is slated for expansion featuring 158,000 square feet of offices, retail and mixed use residential and hotel space. Kicked off by the development of One City Center, a cosmopolitan mixed use and expansive project made up of high end apartments, retail and office space designed to be a lifestyle oasis. All of this contributes to the hustle and bustle of this thriving and historic region.
