WelcomeThe UK Superconductivity community is very excited

to be hosting the European Conference on Applied

Superconductivity in Glasgow in September 2019.

Working together European scientists, engineers and

industrialists have made major strides in the application

of superconductivity to real world problems and this

meeting will showcase these efforts as well as those of

colleagues from around the world. We are convinced

that Glasgow is the ideal venue for the meeting as it

combines a vibrant major metropolis with an excellent

convention space in the SEC. We hope you agree

About ESAS (European Society for Applied Superconductivity)

ESAS brings together scientists and engineers working in applied superconductivity. The society most notably organises the biennial European Conference on Applied Superconductivity (EUCAS). Society Goals:

• to strengthen the position of Applied Superconductivity, especially in Europe,• to represent Applied Superconductivity in social, scientific, educational, industrial and political forums,• to promote communication in the area of Applied Superconductivity.• to achieve its objectives, among other things, ESAS is: • supporting the organisation of conferences, such as the European Conference on Applied Superconductivity EUCAS,• supporting the organisation of workshops and schools in the area of Applied Superconductivity,• supporting European research proposals and projects in the area of Applied Superconductivity,• supporting the participation of young scientists in workshops and conferences in the area of Applied Superconductivity. Delegate ProfileEUCAS typically attracts 1200 delegates from across the world. While the conference has a European base and attracts delegates from all over Europe we also have numerous delegates from other countries with major applied superconductivity research efforts such as China, Korea, Japan and the USA. The conference attracts

delegates, from both academia and industry, at all levels from students to established researchers. Venue EUCAS 2019 will take place in the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), Glasgow, United Kingdom. The SEC provides purpose-built conference and exhibition facilities of the highest standard, while its’ level of service represents the best in traditional Scottish warmth and hospitality. The exhibition, posters and catering will all be located within Halls 1 and 2 at the SEC. This will maximise the amount of time participants spend within this area and ensure extended contact between exhibitors and delegates.

Social Programme Events The Organising Committee has planned great networking events, and the invitation is extended to our sponsors and exhibitors. Welcome Reception – Sunday 1st September Exhibitors are encouraged to attend and network during the Welcome Reception which will be held at the Glasgow Science Centre. Whisky Tasting - Monday 2nd September As part of the main programme, there will be a Whisky Reception held in the exhibition hall on the evening of Monday 2nd September. This will allow exhibitors additional networking time with the delegates, in a fun and relaxed environment.

Parallel Lunchtime Satellite Symposia £1,500 (Maximum of two per day) – Room hire / standard AV tech / recognition Sponsors have the opportunity to hold a satellite symposium. The day will be determined in line with the overall scientific programme. The session will be of 45 minutes duration and will take place in a room with a seating capacity of 100 delegates. Session details will feature on all conference literature alongside company logo.

Early Evening Satellite Symposia £1,500(Maximum of two per day) – Room hire / standard AV tech / recognition Sponsors have the opportunity to hold an early evening satellite symposium. The day will be determined in line with the overall scientific programme. The session will be of 45 minutes duration and will take place in a room with a seating capacity of 100 delegates. Session details will feature on all conference literature alongside company logo.

Benefits Sponsoring companies will be asked for details of suggested titles, speakers and chairpersons in order that the scientific committee chair can ensure satellites are fully integrated and

that there is a balance within the overall programme. Final date for providing details will be 3 June 2019, in line with the overall programme. Career Event £1,500 The conference is looking for a company to sponsor a career development event, aimed at assisting junior colleague’s progress within the industry of Superconductivity. This event will be built into the main conference programme. This would include CV building workshops. The sponsoring company will have their company logo placed beside this section of the programme and website. Company holding slide in the room, opportunity to place banners in the room, opportunity to hand out materials/ goodie bags during the career event to attendees.

Delegate Items

Delegate Bags £6,000 This is a high-profile, much sought after item. The sponsor’s logo will be printed on the delegate bags (also to include the conference logo). Lanyards £2,500 (or £1,000 if sponsor produces and supplies) Sponsors will have the opportunity to sponsor lanyards displaying their corporate logo and the conference name which will be distributed to delegates with their name badges. The organisers will produce the lanyards. Alternatively, sponsors can provide lanyards. Notepads £2,000* Distributed in the conference bag, this is a unique opportunity to highlight your name and company logo on the pads. Each delegate will receive a notepad. Pens £1,000* Distributed in the conference bag, this is a unique opportunity to highlight your name and company logo on the pens. Each delegate will receive a pen in their delegate bag. *If a company sponsors both the notepads and the pens there is a reduced fee of £2,700 for both. Delegate Water Bottle £4,000 (or £2,000 if sponsor produces and supplies) Branded refillable water bottles distributed to all delegates in bags for use during and after the conference. Bottles will feature both the sponsor logo and the conference logo. Bag Insert £1,500 The major sponsorship packages include pack inserts. Other companies may have a single insert which will be inserted into the conference delegate bag by the organisers. You must be a sponsor or exhibitor to have a delegate bag insert.

In order to ensure that your company achieves its objectives by participating in EUCAS 2019, a wide range of sponsorship opportunities are available. It is understood, however, that the packages outlined may not necessarily meet each company’s individual requirements, therefore, other sponsorship opportunities to complement specific marketing objectives can be considered. Memory Stick £4,000 This is a useful tool for delegates to use following the conference. As sole sponsor your company logo will be included on the stick. In addition, a link to the company website will be included when the �le is opened for viewing. Pocket Programme £3,000 The pocket programme will be distributed to all delegates onsite and will contain a handy overview of the conference programme. The sole sponsor logo will appear on the back cover.

EUCAS 2019 App £5,000 Based on successful sponsorship of this item, EUCAS 2019 will produce a conference app, which will contain key information for the delegates pre and during the conference. The sponsor’s logo will feature prominently on the app, on the app download instructions, app signage and the app home page background advert. The company will receive three dedicated push noti�cations at a scheduled time of choice. Branded Wi� Connection £2,500 Sponsoring company can brand the sole wi� connection password for the conference. The password will be printed on signage around the venue and made available to all attending the conference.

Exhibition Package

The exhibition will be held in the combined Halls 1 and 2 of the SEC, Glasgow. The �oor plan is shown overleaf. Please note this plan is not to scale and that individual stand boundaries are indicative. There is the opportunity to aggregate or subdivide stands shown to give you the space you require.
