Holst�Selections from “The Planets”In Taiwan Soloists Symphony Orchestra’s 2015 New Year Concert, they invite Evgheny Brakhman, a Russian pianist, who is also strongly recommended by the piano queen Martha Argerich to Taiwan to express “Concerto for Piano No.2 in Cminor Op.18”. On second half of the performance, Brakhman will perform “Selections from “The Planets”” by G. Holst, he also picked four most famous movements, Mars, Venus, Uranus and Jupiter, and they each corresponds to war, peace, magic and joy. Throughout the melody that brings out the passion and hope that buried from the bottom of audiences’ heart, and wishfully to bring another better year for everybody.

The book exhibition in Siaying District Library in January

There is going to be a book exhibition on the topic of “patchwork” and “discovery of human body in Siaying Library in January. Patchwork is a long-standing handiwork, which is created variably by piecing up a variety kinds of fabrics and materials. Furthermore, a miscellaneous collection of patchwork will be as well displayed through different kinds of combination. Specially, there is also an exhibition providing books for children to understand their bodies. Through the images and words as an illustration, children can also get acquainted with the structures and functions of their bodies with ease.
