ENVS10004 DESIGNING ENVIRONMENTS - MAJOR DESIGN PROJECT Exploration Lane - Finalised Intervention - Bennetts Lane Jazz Bar End Niels Unger - 527241 INTERVENTION - BENNETTS LANE JAZZ BAR END Plan Drawing of Intervention (Scale 1:50) The complete intervention for Bennetts Lane’s jazz bar end consists of a sheltering roof which mimics the design language of the industrial fire escape which already exist in the environment. This coupled with the interactive media presentation which is presented using a classic vending machine aesthetic and a digital projection of the artist’s work on one of the Western walls of the laneway. The Western wall was selected to ensure adequate shade to project the image from the late afternoon to the early evening. The media presentation is to consist of an interview with the artists which enables them to connect with with their audience. In this instance the artists ‘Meggs’ was selected as his aggressive art style with thick accented lines works well with the gritty industrial elements which exists in the laneway. The complete intervention for Bennetts Lane’s jazz bar end consists of a sheltering roof which mimics the design language of the industrial fire escape which already exist in the environment.
