SIGHTSEEINGS:
Night Bazaar Street: where you can find the lovely collection
and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding
Luang Prabang
National Museum: the former Royal Palace which houses the
collection of valuables including the famous Prabang Buddha
statue, gifts received from foreign dignitaries.
Wat Mai: This temple is very important for the Laotians of
Luang Prabang. After the Chinese had destroyed the town in the
last half of the XIXth century, it served as a temple for the royal
family. It was also the residence of the highest Lao Buddhist
dignitary.
Wat Xiengthong: the 16th century temple which, more than any
temples in Luang Prabang, epitomizes all the elegance and grace
of Luang Prabang architecture.
Pak Ou Caves: in the side of a lime stone cliff and opposite of
the mouth of the Mekong and Ou rivers. The sanctuaries at Pak
Ou consist of two large caves, both repositories for thousands of

Buddha images, which range from mere centimeter to two meters in height.
Ban Muangkeo: a well-known village for Lao traditional rice
whisky, namely Laoh-Khao to be distilled.
Buddha Park (also known as Xieng Khuan): is a famous
sculpture park with more than 200 religious statues including a
huge 40-metre high reclining Buddha image. It was built in 1958
by Luang Pu Bunleua Sulilat, a monk who studied both
Buddhism and Hinduism. This explains why his park is full not
only of Buddha images but also of Hindu gods as well as
demons and animals from both beliefs.
Lao – Thai Friendship Bridge: This is the first Thai–Lao
Friendship Bridge crossing over the Mekong River, connecting
Nong Khai in Thailand with Vientiane in Laos. The bridge is
around 20km from the downtown of Vientiane.
That Luang Stupa: is a gold-covered large Buddhist stupa in
the centre ofVientiane, Laos. Since its initial establishment,
suggested to be in the 3rd century, the stupa has undergone
several reconstructions as recently as the 1930s due to foreign
invasions of the area. It is generally regarded as the most
important national monument in Laos and a national symbol.
Wat Sisaket: is one of the most important temples in Laos and
known as the only temple that survived the Siamese occupation
that destroyed Vientiane in 1828. It was restored in 1924 and
subsequently in 1930. The architecture of the temple has some
Siamese influence but is mostly based on Laos design. All in all,
the temple contains more than 5,000 Buddha statues in various
sizes and postures.
Patuxay: is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph, a
war monument dedicated to those who fought for the
independence from France, located at the end of Lang Xang
avenue, in the heart of Vientiane.

Ho Chi Minh Complex: to be consisted of consisted of Ho Chi
Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Monday and Friday year-round and
throughout September to November), Ba Dinh square,
Presidential Palace (Outside Only), Uncle Ho’s House on stilt,

Temple of Literature: It was constructed by King Ly Thanh
Tong in 1070 to worship Confucius, sages and scholars. Under
the reign, it was the school for royal generations and the best
students of the country to learn, too.
Hoan Kiem Lake: also known as Hồ Gươm, is a lake in the
historical center of Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. The lake
is one of the major scenic spots in the city and serves as a focal
point for its public life.
Ngoc Son Temple: To reach Ngoc Son Temple, you have to
pass three gates and Morning Sunlight Bridge (The Huc
Kieu). You can see Pen Tower (Thap But) and Ink Pot (Dai
Nghien) – the symbols of Literature. It is dedicated to General
Tran Hung Dao, Saint Van Xuong and Quan Cong.
Cyclo Trip: a great way to admire street life and the city’s
beautiful architecture on our way to the fascinating Old Quarter
- 36 ancient streets where peddlers continue to trade as they
have done for centuries.
Hanoi Old Quarter: At the beginning of the 20th century the
city consisted of only about 36 streets, most of which are now
part of the old quarter. Each street then had merchants and
households specialised in a particular trade, such as silk traders,
jewellery, etc.
Water Puppet Show: an ancient Vietnamese form of
entertainment, which enables the puppeteers to control their
active marionettes by levers hidden under the water. Water

puppet skits generally enact ancient folklore and legends that are rural in origin, and the
theme of water is often present, as it defines so much of Vietnam’s landscape.
Hoian Ancient Town: known to early Western merchants, Hoi
An was one of the major trading centres of Southeast Asia in
the 16th century. Hoi An has a mixed Chinese-Vietnamese
atmosphere with low, tile-roof houses and narrow streets.
Having been through many ups and downs in the past, the
original structures, however, are still virtually intact. That was
the reason to persuade the UNESCO to recognize Hoi An as a
World Heritage in 1999. Besides, the surroundings of Hoi An, especially the countryside,
are one of the most outstanding highlights that visitors should experience during their stay
in Hoi An.
Cham Museum: The world's foremost collection of the
sculpture of the ancient King-dom of Champa.
Thien Mu Pagoda: one of the oldest ancient architectural
structures for religious worship in Hue.
King Minh Mang Tomb: The tomb was started constructing
in 1840 under the order of King Minh Mang, the second king
of Nguyen Dynasty. After his death in 1841, King Thieu Tri
continued the task, according to his father’s plan. The
monument was finally completed 2 years later. Looking from
afar, the complex looks like a human being with the hill as his
pillow and his hands and feet reaching to the river.
Imperial Ancient Capital: situated on the Northern bank of
the Perfume River and built by Emperor Gia Long it was
designed for the exclusive use of the Emperor and his
household. The Citadel is a square 2 km wall encompassing 3
walled enclosures; the Citadel, Kinh Thanh Hue, the Yellow
Imperial city, Hoang Thanh and in the centre the Forbidden

Purple city Tu Cam Thanh where the Emperor lived. The Hue royal complex has been
officially recognized by the UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
King Tu Duc Tomb: It was the place where he could retreat
from the Citadel to compose poetry or go hunting because the
monument was finished when the king was still in reign. The
design of the tomb is said to clearly reflect the profound
knowledge and romance of the king’s characteristics.
King Khai Dinh Tomb: Though the smallest, Khai Dinh
tomb is the most costly and recent compared with other
Nguyen royal tombs. The architecture is a combination of
oriental style and western, of Buddhism – Christian – Islam.
The most notable place in Khai Dinh Tomb is Thien Dinh
Palace, which contains bronze statues and steles of the King.
Walls are densely decorated and inlaid with elaborate glass
and porcelain designs. The most highlighted feature of this room is the intricate painting on
the ceiling, illustrating nine dragons amidst fleeting clouds.
Dong Ba Market: Dong Ba Market is the biggest commercial
center of Thua Thien – Hue province and the adjacent regions.
All of the most special cultural gifts and souvenirs of Thua
Thien Hue that remain until today can be found in Dong Ba
Market, especially traditional foods.
Notre Dame Cathedral: Officially Basilica of Our Lady of
The Immaculate Conception is a cathedral located in the
downtown of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Established by
French colonists, the cathedral was constructed between 1863
and 1880.
Central Post Office: a post office in the downtown Ho Chi
Minh City, near Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, the city's main
church. The building was constructed when Vietnam was part
of French Indochina in the early 20th century.
City Hall: was built between 1902 – 1908 in the French
Colonial Style to serve as Saigon’s City Hall. Since 1975, it
has served as a headquarters of Ho Chi Minh City People’s
Committee.

Saigon Opera House: At the turn of the 20th century, this
magnificent building, designed by French Architect Ferret
Eugene, was built as a classical opera house with 800 seats to
entertain French colonists.
Cu Chi Tunnels: an incredible underground tunnel network
constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long
struggle for independence. The tunnels, over 250km in length
and up to three levels deep in places, played a huge part in the
Viet Cong’s victory over the Americans, allowing them to
control a large rural area surrounding Ho Chi Minh City.
Today, some of the remaining tunnels have been opened to
tourists, offering a unique insight into what underground life must have been like during
the ‘American’ war.
My Tho/ Mekong Delta: was a traditional gateway to
Mekong Delta. In the 17th Century, the city become one of the
biggest commercial hub in today's Southern Vietnam.
Vinh Trang Pagoda: is the greatest pagoda in Tien Giang,
covering an area of 2,000m2 with many beautiful trees. The
architecture of the pagoda is a harmonious combination of
Asia and European of architectures, creating the splendid but
simple features of this Buddist Pagoda.
Angkor Wat: The “7th Wonders’ of the World” . World
Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor.
Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the
world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates
stories from Hindu mythology.
South Gate of Angkor Thom: is famous for its series of
colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon
Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant
Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well
as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This
architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century
and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around

this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with Colums, libraries, pavilions, courtyards

Bakheng Hill: is the first major temple to be constructed in
the Angkor area, this temple-mountain offers extraordinary
views of the Tonle Sap and Angkor Wat.
Ta Prohm Temple: There are enormous fig trees and gigantic
creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations
of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being
reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature.
Banteay Srei (also known as Citadel of the Women)
Considered by many to be the jewel in the crown of
Angkorian art, Banteay Srei is cut from stone of a pinkish hue
and includes some of the finest stone carving anywhere on
earth. The art gallery of Angkor, Banteay Srei, a Hindu
temple dedicated to Shiva, is wonderfully well preserved and
many of its carvings are three-dimensional.
The Tonle Sap Lake (otherwise known as the Great Lake):
is a combined lake and river system in Cambodia. It is the
largest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia and the richest
fishing lake in the World. It has been designated a UNESCO
Biosphere.
Chong Kneas Village: is a famous floating village where
explore the different of Khmer, Muslim and Vietnamese
floating households and the floating markets, fisheries,
clinics, schools, basketball course, pigsty and other boatloads
of tourists.

DAY 01: LUANG PRABANG ARRIVAL

DAY 02: LUANG PRABANG PAK OU CAVE
After the breakfast, start the tour with National Museum (former Royal Palace) where you
can explore the history of Laos. Then, visit Wat Mai, a temple renowned for its golden bas-
relief. Continue with the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, the most revered temple in Luang
Prabang.
In the afternoon, we board a boat embarking upstream on the Mekong River, which also
gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the
mysterious of Pak Ou Caves. Along the way, our stop will be at Ban Muangkeo for tasting
Lao traditional rice whisky and also take away. Drive back to Luang Prabang for overnight.

to those who fought for the independence from France.

After breakfast, transfer to Phu Bai airport for domestic flight to Saigon. Arrive at Tan Son
Nhat Domestic Airport, met & greeted by Asiana Travel Tour Guide and transfer to the
hotel (Time of checking in is at 14h00). Then, take a short orientation tour including: the
neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, City Hall (Hotel De Ville),
the old OPERA HOUSE (both may only be viewed from the outside). In the afternoon,
visit Cu Chi Tunnels - an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by
Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. Then, back to
Saigon for overnight.
