Financial Closing Cockpit – Continuous improvement

The first step is to create templates.Templates contain all tasks relating tothe local close and a default schedule.This template can be changed into anexecutable task list.

The status and progress of thelocal close can be monitored in acockpit interface.

The task list can be accessed bythe right stakeholders, either viaSAP GUI or Web UI application.

The actual duration of the tasks in asingle close can be compared with theplanned duration and the insightgained used to improve the templatefor the next close round.

Within the closing template, tasks are documented centrally andassigned to the correct people, new people can step in and findtheir assignments in the cockpit.
