CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. NO EXHIBIT TO BE REMOVED UNTIL AFTER 3.30PM ON SHOW DAY. and certificate of entry must be provided to stewards in order to collect exhibits. 2. PRIZE MONEY. ALL SECTIONS: 1ST: $3.00, 2ND: $2.00 Prize money and prizes may be collected from the secretary after 3.30 pm on show day. 3. All children’s ages to be put on entry form. 4. Payment should accompany entry form, unless prior payment arrangement discussed with the secretary. 5. Exhibitors are asked to include a stamped self-addressed envelope with entry form for return of exhibit tickets. 6. Exhibit tickets will be issued for each entry and must be firmly and conspicuously attached to exhibit. 7. If equal 1st prize awarded, no 2nd prize to be given. 8. No prize money for 1st place will be given where a prize is awarded. 9. Show Committee can use their discretion to award trophies instead of prize money. 10. All prizes awarded are at the judges discretion and no correspondence will be entered into regarding any judging decision. 11. Special conditions or instructions relating to each section are contained on the pages related to those sections. Those conditions and instructions form part of the conditions of entry. 12. No person except Officials allowed in room while judging is in progress. 13. The Committee has the power to eject any person from the building or ground. 14. Stewards have the power to re-allocate exhibits if in their opinion wrongly classed. 15. The Committee will give every possible facility to exhibitors and every care will be taken with exhibits, but NO RESPONSIBILITY will be incurred by the Society. The Society will not be responsible for any accident that may be caused through or by any exhibit.

Cream butter and sugar, add 1 egg at a time, sift in dry

ingredients. Bake in a 20cm round tin in an moderate

oven for 1 hour.

13. ORANGE CAKE (Bake in an oblong tin, ice with orange icing).

Recipe: 3 tablespoons butter, 2 level tablespoons cocoa,

2 eggs, 1/2 cup milk, 1 cup s.r. flour, 1 cup sugar.

Melt butter, place remaining ingredients in a bowl, add

melted butter and beat for 3 mins. Bake in a 20cm round

tin in a moderate oven. Ice with chocolate icing.

1 ½ cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 cup caster sugar 2/3 cup milk 2 eggs 5 tbs oil 1 1/2 tbs Golden Bee honey 3/4 cup mashed banana 1/3 cup rolled oats Preheat oven to 180C. Sift flour and baking powder into bowl, add sugar and lightly combine. Whisk together the milk, eggs, oil and honey. Add this to the flour mixture and combine, then fold through the banana and a quarter of the rolled oats. Spoon into paper cases and sprinkle remaining oats over the top of muffins. Bake for 30 minutes or until cooked.

COOKING CONTINUED 22. HONEY LOAF 2 cups self-raising flour 2/3 cup honey 1 tbs sugar 1 tsp vanilla essence 2 eggs 3/4 cup water 50 mls vegetable oil Method STEP 1 Preheat oven to 180C. STEP 2 Mix all the ingredients with a wooden spoon until all combined. STEP 3 Place into a greased loaf tin and bake for 35 minutes or until golden brown.

CORNFLOUR SPONGE CAKE (Special class celebrating 130 years) 3 eggs, separated Pinch salt 1/2 cup caster sugar 1/4 teaspoon vanilla 2/3 cup cornflour 1 slightly rounded tablespoon plain flour 1 level teaspoon baking powder Method Preheat oven to 190 C. Beat egg whites with salt until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar, a little at a time, then continue until the whites are stiff. Add egg yolks and vanilla. Beat until combined. Sift together, three times, corn-flour, plain flour and baking powder. Add to egg mixture carefully and lightly fold into mixture with wooden spoon. Do not stir. Divide batter evenly between two greased and lightly floured 20 centimetre round sandwich pans. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Both sponges to be judged. 1ST PLACE—PRIZE AWARDED 2ND PLACE—$5
