How to configure the

Unattended Object feature



Introduction

-This Articles illustrate how to configure and use

the GV-system features ´Unattended Objectµmonitor the unattended Objects.

-That feature is useful to monitoring the Rooms

and halls in the surveillance system.



From the main screen, click on ´Configureµ icon,

and from the listed menu, click on ´ObjectIndex/Monitor Setupµ to configure this feature.

Step 1:



From ´Camera Applied Object Index/Monitorµ

wizard, click on the exclamation mark for moreinformation.

Step 2:



The information is:1. Each Camera should give at least 7 frames persecond.Higher frame rate gives more accuracy.



You may choose up to four cameras for thisapplication.

Step 3:



Click on ´Configureµ button to start the setup.

Step 4:



From ´Video Object Setupµ click on ´ObjectMonitorµ to open the setup dialog box.

Step 5:



From ´Cameraµ drop-down list, select each

camera one a time. Then configure all othersettings on this dialog box for each camera.

Step 6:



From ´Setupµ drop-down list, select ´UnattendedObjectµ.

Step 7:



Check ´Acceptµ check box to enable otheroptions.

Step 8:



Click on ´Define Objectµ to specify maximum andminimum object sizes for detection.

Step 9:



Use the mouse to outline the maximum andminimum object sizes separately.

Step 10:



Each time when finishing an outlining. You will be

prompted to confirm the ´Maximum Size´ or the´Minimum Sizeµ.

Step 11:



Select ´Show Maxµ and ´Show Minµ one by one tocheck your defined sizes.

Step 12:



Click on ´Doneµ to finish outlining.

Step 13:



Click on ´Save ReferenceImageµ button to savethe image as reference view.

Step 14:



Select ´Show ReferenceImageµ check box, tocheck the saved reference image.

Step 15:



Select ´Invoke Alarmµ check box, to activate the

computer alarm when an unattended object isdetected.

Step 16:



Click on the button beside ´Invoke Alarmµ checkbox to assign a wav sound.

Step 17:



From ´Openµ wizard, browse and select a wavsound, then click ´Openµ.

Step 18:



Select ´Output Moduleµ check box, to trigger theoutput device when an unattended object isdetected.

Step 19:



Click on the button beside ´Output Moduleµ checkbox to assign an output module.

Step 20:



From the appeared box select the modules, theclick ´OKµ.

Step 21:



Select ´Never Recycleµ if you want to preventthe system from deleting Unattended objectevents.

Step 22:



Move the ´Sensitivity´ slide bar to increase ordecrease detection sensitivity or use the defaultsettings.

Step 23:



´Delay Timeµ is the duration from an unattended

object appearing in the camera view and thesystem triggering the detection. Computer alarmand output.Choices include 3, 6, 9, 12 seconds as default.

Step 24:



Here we select 9 seconds. i.e. when oneunattended object appears for 9 seconds. It·slocation will be highlighted, the chosen alarm andoutput will also be triggered.



The ´Demoµ option lets you see the demonstrationfrom an actual DVR application.

Step 25:



Click on ´OK· to apply your settings.

Step 26:



Click on ´OKµ to close the window.
