I wish he would put down that
sword.
Nice pants!

• Supplement harder lessons with real life experiments
• Keeps students interested and engaged during class
• Appropriate for all ages
• Concept reinforcement and real world practical application
ASK QUESTIONSAsking students questions is an excellent way to periodically test their understanding.
Asking questions also helps to keep your students engaged in the class, rather than them drifting off.http://www.google.com/imgres?hl=en&biw=1280&bih=666&gbv=2&tbm=isch&tbnid=NU_Pg_OjAcIJrM:&imgrefurl=h

Field Trips and Outside Learning
Field trips can be very helpful in furthering a student’s understanding and interest. Even if only partially
relevant, stirring up interest in a subject could be best. Students should be encouraged to learn outside of
school.

Cross-Curriculum lessons
Another way to hopefully interest a student would be to combine two different subjects together to make one single lesson.
For example, combining science and Spanish. They could study Spanish terms and culture of South America, and discuss what topography and weather would you expect to find?

Outside The Box Thinking
If you want to be different, you must think differently
Lesson example: Have students make up their own science labs after being given a list of materials and the end goal. They must design an experiment. Putting emphasis on the process and not necessarily a conclusion.
After all that hard work, we decided to hang out on Mt. O’Conner and watch the sunset.
