K2 Snowboarding was born in the US Pacific Northwest

in 1987. Back then snowboarding was in its infancy,

and the Northwest became known as the underground

outpost for a sport still trying to define itself. With a

culture as hardcore as the terrain being ridden, K2

came up developing and supplying gear to some of

the best and gnarliest riders from Bend to Baker.

25 years later K2 continues to remain true to those

Northwest snowboarding roots. Roots set in the basic

idea of enjoying the mountains with friends. Most of

the time that means pushing each other and the gear

we use. After years of exploring the goodtimes and

pushing progression, the Northwest has chopped

and chiseled K2 into what it is today.

Since then the Baseline offering has grown but remained consistent and easy to understand. Baseline is the line the steel edge makes on the bottom of the board and can be made up of Rocker, Camber, Flat or any combination of these. Tweekend combines the rocker zone and the tip rise.

This smooth uninterrupted rocker allows the rider to

rock back and feel no change in support. You can

now pressure and use the whole surface out to the

end of the board. More board means more support,

Bambooyah™ expands out into more models in this it’s third year. We now offer original Bambooyah cores and the all new Bambooyah Blend cores. Created for models that could benefit from just a little bit of Bambooyah’s incredible strength. A little bit of Bambooyah goes a long way.

The Ollie Bar is a totally new approach to adding pop to a snowboard. Built in place in a pre-loaded, cambered shape it solves the concern that rocker board don’t have the pop camber boards have.

Made with a secret lay up of carbon, Kevlar and glass layers, the ollie bar is positioned in the center of the board between the binding inserts. Strong ollies and pressing power doesn’t come from the tail alone. The backbone center section is actually more critical for smooth even pressure. You gotta try it to believe the pop.

DESIGN THAT STARTS WITH SOFT SNOWSoft snow turns are different. Turns and control comes from not only carving but also pushing and displacing snow. A different turn requires a different shape. With a longer tip blend and delayed initiation of the sidecut, our new BC shaping eliminates the over steering that can come form traditional hard snow based design. LONGER TIP BLENDzONEThis feature allows for a smoother and more controlled line. By initiating a turn on the blend as opposed to on the sidecut, the board is less hooky with less over steering

COMPACT SIDECUTWeighting the center of the board engages the rocker specific sidecut of the BC shaping. This now shorter length sidecut (not shorter radius) locks a turn and keeps control at any speed or on any snow pack.

LONGER TAIL BLEND AND SHORTER TAILAllowing the tail to sink without sacrificing switch riding performance. This combo has a super quick skateboard kicktail feel that can pivot in tight trees, but still support you when landing cliffs or slashing high speed turns.

TWEEKENDS INTEGRATIONTweekends compliments this design by mellowing the amount of rocker change in the tip area. Providing a constantly changing geometry that is smooth and predictable. This also eliminated “loop out” when landing in the back seat.
