 building vendor.

This Specification does not address foundation requirements, interior finish out,

specialty requirements, or building systems such as fire protection, electrical, ormechanical systems. This specification also does not address proprietary space frame

structures, or composite buildings consisting of concrete wall panels and roof slabs

attached to metal framing.

ANSI/AWS D1.1. In addition, any strikes, gouges, and otherindications of careless workmanship (such as surface porosity)

shall be removed by grinding.

 b) The butt-welded flange sections for all primary load-bearing

members shall be 100% radiographed at the weld. Primary load- bearing members shall be defined as the main frames and any

members that are part of the lateral load carrying system.

c) Secondary members such as purlins, girts or rafters that are not part of the main sway frame, the butt-welds can be tested asfollows; 10% of the buttwelds of each days production (randomly

selected) shall have radiographic tests performed on the welds.

d) The minimum percent coverage of the specified NDT method

may be increased (at any level up to 100%) if, in the opinion ofthe Company Inspector, the welds are of questionable

workmanship or NDT indicates an excessive number of defects.Additional or alternative NDT methods may be used at the

discretion of the Company Inspector in order to assist in

determining the type or extent of defects.

testing. Testing in accordance with ASTM F606 or ASTM F606M

will be at the Buyer's expense.

10.3.9 If any damage is discovered, or any parts, components, ordocumentation are missing or otherwise defective, the occurrence shall

be immediately reported to the Buyer in writing.

10.3.10 Shop inspection may include, but not be limited to the following:

Verification of conformance of materials with this Specification and

the drawings. The limits of acceptability and repair of surfaceimperfections for structural steel shall be in accordance with

ASTM A6 / ASTM A6M.

10.3.11 Inspection of high-strength bolted connections shall be in accordance

with AISC Specification for Structural Joints Using ASTM A325 orASTM A490 Bolts.

10.3.12 The buyer reserves the right to inspect and reject all galvanized steel inaccordance with ASTM A123/A123M and ASTM E376.

10.3.13 All web and flange splices shall be spot radiographed per AWS D1.1.

10.3.14 Additional welding inspection beyond that required by the contract or

purchase order may be requested by the Saudi Aramco Inspection

Department under the guidelines established per AWS D1.1.

10.3.15 Saudi Aramco's inspection and acceptance of the material shall notrelieve the Vendor of his responsibility to comply with all

requirements of the order and material specification, including but not

limited to the requirement that all components shall properly fit whenthe building is erected.

11 Drawings and Calculations

11.1 Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the following drawings shall be

furnished:

11.1.1 Proposal Drawings and Technical Specifications

Two copies of the building drawings and technical specifications are to be included in Vendors formal proposal. These drawings are for

proposal evaluations and become property of the Company.

The Vendor shall list in his proposal any deviations from this SAMSS,and shall state what he intends to furnish as part of the contract.

Failure to list exceptions, if any, shall be construed as acceptance by

the Vendor of these Specifications.

11.1.2 For Approval Drawings

Five sets of preliminary drawings composed of roof framing plans, elevations, and sections through the building shall be furnished for

approval of the Company.

Fabrication of any part of the metal building system by the Vendor prior to receiving approved plans, is done at no liability to the

Company.

11.1.3 Erection Drawings

Five copies of certified erection drawings for the Metal Building

System shall be furnished by the Vendor to the Buyer. Such drawings

and erection instructions shall identify all individual parts of the metal building system in sufficient detail to permit proper erection and

installation of said parts.

11.1.4 Anchor Bolt Plan

Submit within two weeks after award of contract a drawing that clearlyshows the size, location and projection of all anchor bolts for the metal

building system components and the location and size of anyfoundation block-outs that are required. The minimum anchor bolt size

shall be 20 mm (¾"). All anchor bolts shall be furnished with double

nuts and the projection of the anchor bolt shall be sufficient for twonuts. Unfactored column reactions (magnitude and direction - broken

down by individual load case), and base plate dimensions are also to be

included.

11.1.5 All drawings shall be made using SI Metric system of units, unlessinstructed otherwise in writing by the Buyer.

11.2 Drawings not Provided

Detailed shop drawings of individual parts of the metal building system are not

required to be furnished by the Vendor unless requested by the Company.

11.3 Design Calculations

Design calculations shall be assembled in an orderly manner, checked and shall be subject to periodic review as requested by the Company and as required for

the approval of Vendor's drawings.

11.3.1 The building structural design calculations shall include a summary of

all loads and load combinations considered in the design and a clearstatement of design assumptions. All computer models shall beaccompanied by sketches that show joint and member numbers,

support conditions, and loadings. All design information shall be

 based on checked calculations.

11.3.2 Summary Sheet for Deflections and Drifts: A summary sheet shall be

provided listing the maximum actual deflections in all items such as

purlins, girts, crane beams, jib cranes and floor beams compared withthe corresponding allowable values. The maximum longitudinal and

transverse drifts of the building shall be listed and compared with

corresponding allowable values.

11.3.3 Load Derivations: The calculations shall show the derivation of allloads such as roof and floor, dead and live loads, crane loads and all

wind and earthquake loads as applicable. The calculations shall deriveall such loads used in the calculations as input for computer analysis so

that any one load used in the input can be traced back in the load

derivation.

When roof or floor metal decking is used as a diaphragm to carrylateral forces, both the metal deck and the deck attachments to the

building frame shall be designed to transfer the lateral forces and shall

comply with the requirements of AISI, "Design of Light Gage SteelDiaphragms".

11.3.4 The design of all built-up and hot-rolled steel members shall comply

12.1 Packing shall be done in accordance with Company's packing specification No.18. (not applicable for buildings manufactured in-Kingdom.)

12.2 Sandwich panels shall be packaged for delivery in banded stacks with suitable

foam or cardboard separators between each panel to prevent damage to thefinished paint surfaces. The bands shall also be prevented from damaging the

panels. Structural steel members shall be suitably separated by timber or similar

during transport and storage.

12.3  Bolts, Nuts and Washers shall be shipped prior to or with the first lot ofstructural steel. Anchor bolts shall be shipped in time to accommodate the
