The pro- ject work consists of removal and replacement of the two deteriorating short span concrete bridges over Tom Miner Creek and Rock Creek. The existing bridges will be replaced with longer and wider GRS-IBS bridges, riprap protec- tion, and guardrail. The project will also include some rehabilitation work on the Carbella Truss Bridge consisting of replacing the existing bridge deck and repairing some of the truss members. Trafϐic Control Current Operations The Rock Creek bridge has been completed to the point it is open for use by public trafϐic. The temporary trafϐic detour and bridge have been removed. Please drive slowly through the pro- ject area over the winter months as the roadway will be completed in 2019. The project work is being shutdown for the remainder of the winter months as the frozen ground and winter conditions have prevented the remaining earthwork from being completed this year. The Rock Creek bridge has been completed to the point where it is open for public trafϐic. These past two weeks the Contractor has worked on opening the new bridge, building the bridge approaches, installing guardrail, removing the temporary bridge and detour, and completing riprap installations. Work will resume in the spring of 2019 once weather conditions allow for the remaining roadway work to be completed. It is anticipated that there will only be a few weeks of work in 2019 in order to complete the remaining project work.
