DAY 1: WELCOME TO THE AMALFI COAsT• You will be met at Naples Capodichino International Airport and transferred to Positano at the splendid Il San Pietro di Positano 5*.Il San Pietro overlooks the bay with a spectacular and worldwide famous view of Positano. A perfect harmony between luxury and simplicity is the secret of its charm and excellence.

• Time at disposal to visit Positano.Despite intense development, Positano has maintained its distinct characteristic of a vertical village and its cheerful architecture with charming nooks and stunning scenery. The whole town is worth seeing with its multitude of houses, domes, arches, alleys and its thousand stairways that climb up along the rocks.

• Second halt in Minori, whose beautiful beach and the strategic position make Minori, the narcissus of the Amalfi Coast, mainly a seaside resort, however it is also one of the richest cities in history and traditions of the Divine Coast. Known for its gastronomic products among which stand out the lemon delights of the Amalfi Coast and fish based dishes, it is a perfect synthesis of art, culture and deli.

Lunch in Maiori - Restaurant suggestion: Il Faro di Capo Orso (1 Michelin star).The restaurant, established in 1930 faces the splendid gulf; the cuisine is enriched by the flavours and colours of the Amalfi Coast.

Afternoon

• Time at disposal to visit Maiori.Maiori, a delightful seaside resort overlooking one of the largest and most beautiful beaches in this area, is one of the gems of the Amalfi Coast. Today it offers various cultural, recreational and leisure activities, you will love walking to the historic centre. Sea lovers can book a boat trip from Maiori to the Grotta Sulfurea, a thermal spring, or to the Grotta del Pannone that preserves interesting stalactites and stalagmites.

• The next step is Amalfi and time at disposal to visit this gracious town.

The origins of Amalfi are veiled in legend, founded by the hero Hercules, who on this beach buried his beloved Amalfi, the nymph with eyes the colour of the sea… Indeed after the cultural Avant Garde, the disaster of the two wars, the next appointment was at the end of the fifties and the beginning of the sixties: when the Dolce Vita (sweet life) exploded on the scene and summers were spent between Capri, Amalfi and Positano. DAY 3: FROM POsITANO TO ROME• The route leads towards Rome with halt en route to Sorrento and visit of the town.Sorrento Peninsula has a unique landscape in the world, where low and high hills, deep valleys and majestic mountains alternate, where the Man’s work - who levelled even the most impervious areas, transforming them in the famous terraces degrading towards the sea, on which he cultivated orange and lemon trees, olive groves and vineyards - has been grandiose. These are the delight’s gardens that in springtime exhale a stirring scent of orange - blossom. The mild and dry climate for most part of the year makes Sorrento Peninsula the ideal destination in every season.

• The second halt is Siena, which will be reached for lunch.Siena, an unspoiled mediaeval city, is the location of the famous Palio, a horse race around the city’s shell-shaped Piazza del Campo. Siena’s other historic gems from the Middle Ages include the Town Hall (Palazzo Pubblico) and the Torre dei Mangia (1340), which are similar in height to the Cathedral.

Venice is a unique blend of water, art and romance located four kilometres from terra firma and two kilometres from the Adriatic Sea. It is a treasure from the artistic and architectural point of view.

DAY 10: VENICE: PEARL OF THE LAGOONA private boat will be at disposal for a 4-hour tour of the Lagoon.

• The first halt foresees visit to the famous island of Murano, famous for its glassmaking, a traditional activity that still preserves the ancient techniques of the past. You will admire the glass masters at work while producing the beautiful objects that have made them famous all over the world.

• Second halt in Burano, the most cheerful and one of the most populous of the lagoon islands. Its brightly painted houses give it the air of an Italian opera set, while the success of its most important industries, lace making, fishing and boat building, accounts for the well-being of its people.

• Last stop in Torcello, which can be considered the “Mother of Venice” and was settled between the 5th and 7thC by the fist waves of refugees from the Barbarian invasions on the Mainland. Today the island is nearly uninhabited (residents being reduced to 12). Covered by a rich typical vegetation, Torcello preserves the most ancient monument of the lagoon: the solemn Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in 639 and rebuilt in 1008, decorated with outstanding Byzantine mosaics.
