ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Dr. Baumgaertel has lectured world wide on orthodontic mini-implants and Cone Beam Computed Tomog-

raphy. He has published multiple scientific articles and acts as a reviewer for a number of high-profile journals. Additionally he is author and co-editor of two textbooks:

Mini-Implants in Orthodontics – Innovative Anchorage Concepts Self-ligating Brackets in Orthodontics: Current Concepts and Techniques

Dr. Baumgaertel is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the subspecialty clinic for skeletal anchorage at Case West-ern Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, where he also teach-es the orthodontic biomechanics course. In addition, he main-tains an active orthodontic practice in the Cleveland, OH area.
