For more information, contact: Jessica Erickson, AT&T Wisconsin 608-692-5340 [email protected] Open Door Café to Receive Sleeping Mats from AT&T Pioneers to Provide to Milwaukee’s Homeless MILWAUKEE, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 — Open Door Café will receive a donation of 10 sleeping mats from the AT&T Wisconsin Pioneers to provide to Milwaukee’s homeless during a presentation at The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. The AT&T Pioneers have made the sleeping mats out of recycled plastic bags from grocery and retail stores. The Pioneers are a local organization of AT&T employees and retirees who are dedicated to volunteering their time to various community causes. The Open Door Café is the heart of the Cathedral’s commitment to outreach, providing a free hot lunch to approximately 180 people a day, 6 days a week. In addition, the Open Door Café provides transportation assistance, hygiene kits, and medical, veteran and housing-related outreach to its meal guests.
