This is a clinical experiential course in a sequence of courses. The Physical Therapist Assistant Program utilizes an assessment tool

developed by the American Physical Therapy Association (the program accreditor) to assess the performance of students during clinical

rotations. The tool was transitioned in July from a paper and pencil format to an electronic format. The new tool requires an annual fee of $ 775.

The electronic format will be more user-friendly for students, clinical instructors, and the academic coordinator of clinical education. The

proposed $10 fee for PTA206, PTA280, and PTA 290 would be adequate to cover the additional costs associated with using this electronic

format, in all clinical courses of the program.

This course includes a professional cert from the Arizona Center for Fire Service Excellence (AZCFSE). The AZCFSE is the new certifying body

since the State of AZ Fire Marshal's Office closed down. This certification is required by fire service employers to operate as a professional

firefighter in the State of Arizona.


The practical skills component is a new requirement of the IFSAC accrediting agency that accredits the AZCFSE certifications.


The AZCFSE raised the certification fee in Spring 2011 to $25 per certificate. The balance of this course fee per student ($10) is used to replace

soft goods and equipment maintenance/replacement for skills conducted in class.


Equipment used in the class includes: ERG guides, level A Hazardous Materials suits, SCBA, compressed oxygen, tarps, ropes, hoses,

multidisciplinary field of biopsychology to understand the biological basis of behavior and mental processes.

learning opportunities as possible. The Biopsychology course engages students in hands -on laboratory activities at least twice a week. Study

The DJ program at Scottsdale Community College is unique amongst accredited colleges in the United States. The program seeks to teach

students the necessary skills required to procure employment as DJ's or a related field. To facilitate learning, instructors must utilize the latest

gear/technology to keep students current in a profession that is generally dependent on technological know-how.


The fees will generate money to purchase cutting-edge gear and software to ensure students are on the same page as professional DJ's.
