CELEBRATING SACRAMENTO’S BRIGHTEST STARSThe Sacramento region boasts some of the world’s greatest entertainers and artists, athletes, news people, business people and scientists. Sacramento Walk of Stars is proud to honor national and worldwide accomplishments made by those who call or once called the Sacramento region home. These monuments are celebrations of individuals and times in Sacramento’s history. Hundreds of thousands of residents, business patrons and tourists will seek out the stars over their lifetime as they shine in the sidewalks of our growing central city.
2016 marks the inaugural year to honor the first five inductees with beautiful bronze and terrazzo stars placed in the heart of Sacramento. Sacramento Walk of Stars will launch in late spring with an announcement to unveil the inductees. In late summer, we will host a star installation ceremony, VIP reception and inaugural gala. Every year following, Sacramento Walk of Stars will evolve with new inductees added to the bustling sidewalks of downtown and midtown Sacramento from 21st Street to the Golden 1 Center.
CATEGORIES AND CRITERIAThe Sacramento Walk of Stars will pay tribute to those who have affected the nation or the world for the better while contributing to the shining light of Sacramento. Four to five inductees will be recognized each year fortheir achievements in entertainment and arts, sports, news, business and science and technology. They must also have:
Lived or been raised in the greater Sacramento region
National or international significance
Made a positive impact on the Sacramento region

COMMUNITY COLLABORATIONSacramento Walk of Stars operates as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization comprised of economic development organizations in the downtown and midtown Sacramento area. Crocker & Crocker is the driving force that brought the Sacramento Walk of Stars to life with support from local businesses, economic development organizations and community influencers.
We’re thrilled to bring this unique attraction to Sacramento along with supporting organizations such as the Sacramento City Council, Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau, Downtown Sacramento Partnership, Midtown Business Association, among others. We want to bring attention to our program to tell everyone how #SacramentoShines.
ONLY THE BEST FOR OUR STARSOur stars will feature a three-by-three foot section of black terrazzo with an inlaid bronze star filled with blue terrazzo and a bronze name plate. Our manufacturer is the leading developer of Walk of Fame stars and is the provider for the Hollywood Walk of Fame and other prominent outdoor terrazzo installations.
