    10 Reapers of Death

War! We can do without it, but mankind has proven that it cant do without going to war every now and then.

Nevertheless, every country is in the continuous race and process of upgrading their own power, and all

want and need to be ready to meet any eventuality. We have collected the most dangerous and deadly

military machines from round the world, lets start them from number 10.

    10- Longbow Apache

The Apache Longbow is an improved and upgraded version of the AH-64A. With increased survivability,

better bad-weather performance, avionics and weapons, the Longbow is the most sophisitcated attack

    helicopter in service.

The most striking difference in appearance of the Longbow is the radar dome atop the main rotors. The fire

control radar can locate, classify and prioritise more than 128 targets, in all weathers. The radar selects

targets for the AGM-114D Longbow missiles which can be fired in full fire-and-forget mode up to ranges of

    12km.

e M1 Abrams is a third-generation main battle tank produced in the United States. M1 is a well armed,

heavily armored, and highly mobile tank designed for modern armored ground warfare. Notable features of

the tank include the use of a powerful gas turbine engine, the adoption of sophisticated composite armor,

and separate ammunition storage in a blow-out compartment for crew safety. With a weight of close to

68short tons (almost 62 metric tons), it is one of the heaviest main battle tanks currently in service.

    4- Airborne Laser

The Airborne Laser Test Bed (ALTB) provides speed-of-light capability to support the advancement of

directed energy technology and the understanding of directed energy applications.

The ALTB program places battle management equipment, a beam control/fire control system, and a high-

energy Chemical Oxygen Iodine Laser (COIL) on a modified Boeing 747-400F aircraft to support the

potential application of directed energy for missile defense.

On Feb. 11, 2010, Boeing, industry teammates and the U.S. Missile Defense Agency successfully

demonstrated the speed, precision and breakthrough potential of directed-energy weapons when the

Airborne Laser Test Bed engaged and destroyed a boosting ballistic missile.

    3- Aircraft carrier

    It

is the most dangerous military machine of the world while skills of most accomplished pilots are tested as

slightest miscalculations can be fatal. US military has 9 such big carriers. With 90,000 tons and 20 stages

multi stories, they are among the few engineering wonders of the world. They can travel 1100km a day and

    can remain at sea indefinitely.

    2- B-2 Stealth Bomber

The flying-wing concept was brought into the world of advanced stealth technology by Northrop with the B-2

    Bomber.

Coated with special composite laminate and secret paint, the B-2 is almost invisible to radar and more B-2s

have been identified as UFOs than any other aircraft. Based in the U.S., B-2s on refueling missions can hit

any part of the world. At $2.2 billion per aircraft, the cost is awesome, but so is this aircraft.

    1- Ballistic Missile Submarine

Ballistic missile submarines are considered as the most powerful and the most destructive military machine.

For its invisible presence under the sea keeping the nation awake all night, this submarine is on the top of

our list of ultimate military machines of the world.
