The medieval city of Perouges is an ancient fortified city located on a rocky

You will visit the XII century village, discovering

3/ Visit of a Beaujolais Castle and its Cellars

Located near the village of Montmelas-Saint-Sorlin, in the Beaujolais region, the old

castle of Montmelas is formely (in the 10th century) a garrison place.

Becoming Marquis de Montmelas in 1566 Hehan Arod transformed the place in a castle.

Since that time, they produce Beaujolais-Villages wines based mainly on Gamay grappes.

During your trip to Montmelas, you will

visit, under the guidance of the owner the

castle, the castle itself, the winery and the

cellar. A tutorial on the wine production

will precede the tasting of the home
