What is the assessed chargeYour charge is a fixed assessed chargeusing the same criteria as your watersupplier. This is because your watersupplier has tried to fit a meter in the pastbut it has not been possible to fit one.

What is the standing charge?There are certain costs that do notdepend on how much water customersuse. These costs include, for example,the cost of sending bills, collectingpayments and dealing with enquiries.The standing charges covers thesecosts.

Why are wastewater charges higherthan water supply?Our wastewater charges are higher as itis more expensive to treat and dispose ofwastewater to a high standard than it isto provide a fresh water supply
