Synel Systems for School Registration
KESTREL
2
The Brief
Kestrel is an AM PM Student Registration Software
developed by Synel. Students swipe or wave their cards
at the clock and their attendance is registered in Kestrel.
Fingerprint option is also available for registration .
Kestrel uses the official codes used for attendance by
schools. Students are swiping / waving their cards at the
terminal and their attendance is registered automatically.
This process encourages students to take responsibility
and register their attendance themselves thus saving
valuable teaching time

Kestrel Adaptation for School Solution
Kestrel has 2 options of configuration dependent upon the requirements of the school:
Option 1:
• AM/PM registration – Operates with the British system - SIMS
• Class registration – Operates with the British system - SIMS
Option 2:
• Kestrel stand-alone – advantages: attendance report data and report generation (see slide 7). Special adaptation has been made to the British market, and can be adjusted according to other markets’ requirements
9
Option 1 - AM/PM registrationRegistration is done twice daily, in the morning and in the afternoon.
This is a Kestrel screen, in which edits and adjustments can be made, as well as reports additions.
Students attendance data can be printed from here.
