of a Sustainable DevelopmentThe United Nations Organisation (UNO) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) have emphasised the important role schools play in the education of sustainability, declaring that the decade 2005-2015, dedicated to the education of a sustainable development, aims to “integrate the principles, values, and practices of sustainable development into all aspects of education and learning, in order to address the cultural (social), economic, and environmental problems we face in the 21st century”.
