SLEEPING BEAUTY PANTO As a post-Christmas treat, the whole school enjoyed a pantomime called Sleeping Beauty who performed in the main school hall. There were a lot of laughs and excited children during this fun filled play. Oh yes there was!

SCHOOL UNIFORM Your children are looking absolutely amazing at the moment! They are well dressed, well presented and looking very smart. What would make it even better if more children wore school shoes and not trainers. It would be great if you could encourage your child to wear their black school shoes. Thanks!

PACKED LUNCHES Thank you to all those who provide a healthy packed lunch for your child. They look delicious! The lunchtime supervisors are trying to encourage your children to keep what they have NOT eaten so that you are able to keep an eye on what they are eating.

INSET DAYS We have one more inset day on: Monday 19th February after half term. The children come back to school on Tuesday 20th February

YEAR 3 @ SPINNAKER TOWER

Year 3 finished off their 'Portsmouth' topic this half-term with an exhilarating trip up to the viewing platform of The Spinnaker Tower. Some children found their head for heights as they braved the glass floor whilst others took in the remarkable views of our city and left feeling 'sky high!'

BOYS VISIT FRATTON PARK

Mrs Currie took 12 boys to Fratton Park to meet the author Dan Freedman and get a

tour of the stadium. The boys were extremely engaged with it all and perfectly

behaved. Play up Pompey!

FOOD FIESTA!

The Food Fiesta week has been planned into our curriculum this year to give the

children an opportunity to explore the culture, lifetsyle and, most importantly, the food

of other countries. Each year group has selected a country to learn about and has then

tested, evaluated and created their own version of their country's most popular dishes

for another year group to sample. YUM

NEW SCHOOL BUILDING UPDATE

We are coming up to the final stages towards our new school being built. Plans have

been seen of the external possible look and we just finalising what the inside will look

like. The final stage is now for the EFSA to get it approved by Portsmouth Planning.

It is all very exciting and we are still looking at moving in from September 2019. It

sounds very soon however once the foundations are down, the building will be erected

very quickly as it is a modular build.

This means it is actually built somewhere else, then dismantled, brought down to

Portsmouth and then put back together. A bit like GIANT LEGO SCHOOL!
