FIRST LET’S MAKE THINGS THAT LAST. The Emeco 1006 Navy Chair was first commissioned in the 1940s by
the U.S. Navy for use on warships – the contract even specified that it
had to be able to withstand torpedo blasts. Today our chairs are still
made in the U.S.A., of 80% recycled aluminum, and are made by hand,
by Emeco craftsmen using the original 77 step process. The world’s
best architects and designers collaborate with us to design chairs that
are built and guaranteed to last a lifetime.
As we apply what we’ve practiced in the past, we are looking toward
the future. We are on a mission to make a positive impact on the
environment. Our goals are to use waste material in our products, use
as little energy as possible in our manufacturing, generate a minimum
of waste in the process, and build strong, durable, beautiful chairs that
last through generations. We’ve been on the same mission since 1944
and we will continue to search for new ways to recover and utilize
discarded materials and make products that last.

Useful and durable, the 1 Inch Reclaimed stacking chair is engineered to meet the demands of high use environments, a timeless design suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The one-piece chair is made from 90% reclaimed material - 88% waste polypropylene and 2% waste wood fiber. Available in eight colors. Stacks 10.

1 Inch Aluminum Frame taps into Emeco’s heritage in hand crafting recycled aluminum, leveraging its signature strength, light weight, and sustainability to create a versatile family of seats. The frame is hand built using our time-tested 77-step process used for the original 1006 Navy Chair since 1944.

Seats for 1 Inch Aluminum Frame are available in sustainable plywood, 100% reclaimed wood polypropylene or upholstered in a range of Kvadrat/Maharam fabrics and leather. Reclaimed wood polypropylene is suitable for outdoor use.

The 1 Inch All Aluminum Collection is strong and lightweight, built by hand from recycled aluminum, utilizing Emeco’s unique 77-step process. Made for heavy-duty environments indoors and outdoors, we guarantee the 1 Inch All Aluminum collection for life. Chair and armchair stack 6 high.

The 1 Inch café and bar height tables complement the chairs and stools of the collection. The table base is made with the family’s signature one inch square aluminum tube, available in a clear anodized finish, or black powder coated. Round and square table tops in three sizes come in anodized aluminum, sustainably sourced solid ash and walnut. Anodized aluminum versions are suitable for outdoor use.
