Operational InstructionsOperational Instructions

OverviewOverviewChristmas is a season rich with love, hope and joy. It is a time for surrounding ourselves with people we love and celebrating the spirit of giving and sharing. In 2008 Swarovski brings the fairytale of Christmas to life with the Christmas concept “A Sparkling Dream”: an imaginary place where serenity and purity reign. This enchanted world - far away from the confines of any map - is covered with snow, where magical creatures live. A small bird with its poetic feather tail, an angel flying in the clouds leaving sparkles in its wake or a little Kris Bear playing and catching a star. This story emphasises the spirit of Christmas through a wonderland where everything can come true.

Seasonal Collateral

The following items are considered seasonal collateral:• Large Slimline Tree (1 per pedestal window)• Small Slimline Tree (1 per built in window)• Blow Clips (pack of 6)• Prop Gift Bags (pack of 24)

Floor Plan UpdateFloor Plan Update

Fashion and Watch UpdateFashion and Watch UpdateMany stores are experiencing shortages in fashion skus and watch skus already this fall season. This shortage can be filled in several ways.

The fashion case can be supported as directed below:• Move any additional stock of accessories into your fashion case as space allows. Group

accessories together with complimentary jewelry to enhance the chance of add on sales.• Maintain the core layout with 8 neck forms in 2 columns as directed. If you run low on

necklaces for the neck forms, handbag displays can replace the neck form in order to maintain the layout.

• You can also fill in the fashion showcase by duplicating larger statement jewelry pieces from the timeless collection, i.e. diva collection, cluster collection, faithful collection, etc.

• Full Fashion Store options:•Larger stores- Work all accessories into fashion showcases to maintain the space allocation of two showcases and fill Oval 95 accessory cases with Holiday ovals, or other duplication of festive jewelry collections.

•Smaller stores- Consolidate fashion into one showcase and place one of the following in the additional showcase- A feature showcase if you do not currently have one, a timeless jewelry or bridal case if those collections are shown in oval cases on your plan or duplicate one of the timeless jewelry showcases for the holiday season, preferably standard TJ 2/3 of full TJ 1/2.

Watches will be addressed in the following way:• The watch case will be removed from the floor plan in many stores due to low stock

levels. The remaining watches should be placed in the fashion showcase with complimentary jewelry collections, ideally one watch or watch collection per shelf. The watches can remain in the fashion showcase until Launch 1 2009.

• For larger stores that continue to have a designated space for watches, you may consolidate watches to one shelf and duplicate one of the following collections on the other shelf/shelves:

•Rings•Key rings•Brooches

Floor plans will go into the mail pack the week before the holiday floor set.

The revised floor plans will direct the following changes:• Placement of gold oval base covers in each store• Placement of the feature showcase backdrops in additional everyday cases• Placement of a consolidated watches presentation• Replacement for watches• Possible minor adjustments of oval 95 showcases

The changes will be minimal and should not affect the overall layout of each store’s floor plan.

Fully revised assortments and floor plans will not be implemented until Launch 1 2009.

Notes:• The window trees should be plugged into floor outlet in the

window. The trees need to be unplugged at the end of everyday. Do not leave the lights on all night in your store.

• Begin with tree assembly …• Fluff each branch of the tree by pulling it away from the

center branch and by filling in any holes. Pull the branches out so that the tree looks natural.

• Both the crystal and ball ornaments should be placed on the tree one style at a time in a zig zag pattern as shown to the left. Hang the crystal ornaments first.

• Before attaching the crystal ornaments, tie the ribbon into an additional knot so that the blue ribbon appears shorter.

• Attach the gold bow clip through the loop of the blue ribbon of each ornament. Try to get the ornament to hang free instead of laying on the branches below.

• Tuck the blue ribbon behind so it is out of view. After hanging the ornament, fluff the wired gold bow.

• Twist three single ornaments into a cluster.• Place the ball ornaments on the tree in a zig zag

pattern. Don’t twist the wire tightly around the branches. Position the ornament cluster and gently wrap the wire once around the interior branch so that the wire doesn’t show. All ornaments should be set deep into the branches of the tree with none hanging out on the edge of the branch.

• All of the crystal ornaments that are placed on the trees are selling stock. The boxes for these ornaments need to be safely stored so that the ornaments may be repacked into them at a later date.

• The tree should be fully decorated on the front 2/3’s. Use the extra ball clusters and extra bows without an ornament on the back of the tree.

Props:• 12 White Ball Clusters• 3- AE Ornament • 4- little snowflake ornament• 12 Gold bows w/ clips
