- His work at Teck was awarded twice from his effort at Kirazli Gold project, as New Discovery and Best Work Proposal.
- Baris Yildirim worked as a project geometallurgist for Teck Metals in Canada, and executed an plant optimisation project between Highland Valley Copper Mine and the Teck research center.
- He has involved building two mines in his career in 10 years. One of them is underground Pb-Zn-Ag operation in South of Turkey and the second one is vermiculite operation in Central Anatolia.

supplement traditional geology and
grade-based attributes, enabling a more
holistic approach to economic
optimization.
Detailed geometallurgical models that
reflect inherent variability also aim to
reduce technical risk associated with
design and operation of mining
operations.
Geometallurgical information can be used
to optimize flow sheet design and
equipment sizing with a view to predicting
and optimizing plant performance and
production over life of project.
Deterministic geometallurgical models are
more effective than empirical
