It is believed, as well as Scotland, France, Russia and China were influenced in some way by his reformist ideas. e.g. China - Chairman Mao is reported to have taken on board some of Robert Owens’ philosophy when setting up Communist China. Owen’s publication is still held in Chairman’s Mao’s library at his former residence in Hunan Province, P R China. First Professional Cultural Tourism Programme :- Politics - Industrial Utopian Socialism Today?

Experts from Scotland, France, China and Russia meet in a venue in each country related to Socialist Industry to discuss the past, its triumphs and failings and the future of social industry in todays world. 

Agenda - Each week’s country programme will follow the same agenda

One week programme delivered in New Lanark Mills, Scotland then reciprocated in all three participating countries, over the year to deliver the same programme facilitated by each Prospect country partner. Scotland: Robert Owen’s New Lanark Mills. Lanark, ScotlandChina: Chairman Mao Former Residence, Shaoshan, Hunan Province, ChinaFrance: Prince of New Orleans, - King Louise, Paris Museum, FranceRussia: Czar Nicolai I of Russia, St Petersburg Museum, Russia

Prospect country partner will be responsible for organising the local events and full main week event. Sourcing the expert and local delegates to participate in both events including any public and private interaction and sponsorship. Government/Education/Chambers of Commerce may help by supplying local delegates in political and tourism students, new start-up businesses, existing small to medium enterprises

Local events - will be held before the main events which will bring on board local political and tourism students, new start-up businesses, existing small to medium enterprises, along with any previously unknown knowledge which can be presented to expert delegates at the full `Expert meets Local’ delegate day or at a lunch or dinner local entertainment event. These local delegates can be charged a ticket fee to cover costs and make profit for country partner.

Translators - Each delegated group will have a designated translator(s) who will stay at the same hotel and engage in the full week’s events and travel. All presentations will be translated prior to events with translators working with expert delegates as required. If possible same translators will stay with designated delegation and travel to all four country venues. Prospect Scotland Ltd can supply translator(s) but if wished a country delegation can bring their own, but they must be able to translate in all four languages.
