Scripts are either gold or chrome, and either 13-inch or 15-inch long. The Bel-Air model originally used gold emblems, while the 150 and 210 models used chrome. V8 engines require a 13-inch script that is mounted above the hood and/or trunk vee; 6-cylinder engines require a 15-inch script that is mounted on the hood. "BEL AIR" SCRIPTS1955 and 56 Chevy’s use the chrome Bel Air emblems. On 1955 Bel Air models, they mount above the rear quarter moulding at the front behind the paint divider along with a gold crest emblem. These panels are stamped from the finest aluminum available. The grooves are precision-cut to the original depth and width, showing off the subtle contrast between the polished ridges and the buff-finished grooves. After the intricate, multiple step process of material preparation is complete, we use first class American tooling to perfectly shape the panels, and most importantly put the complex contour at the back of the panel so they fit perfectly against the contour in the quarter panels.
