ATTENDANCE/WITHDRAWAL/LEAVEOFABSENCEPOLICYTheCornerstoneInstituteforAnointinguses itsowninternalstandardstodeterminetypesofabsences, based on experience working with our demographic of students. The schooldistinguishestypesabsencesanddefinestardinessasfollows:

• Excused–Pre-approvedabsencegrantedbyInstructor.• Unexcused–UnapprovedabsencenotgrantedbyInstructor.• FullDay–On-timeattendanceinallclassesfortheday.• LateArrival–Enrollinginacourse7daysfromitsstartdate.• EarlyDismissal–Dismissal2hoursormorefromthenormaltime.• ClassAbsences–3consecutiveabsencesfromclass.• Tardiness–Morethan15minuteslatetoclass.3‘tardies’=1unexcusedabsence.

Instructors are responsible for recording all absences on a daily basis into each student’sattendanceprofile.Itisimportanttonotethatstudentswillreceive1unexcusedabsenceevery3 times they are tardy. Students are implored to take tardiness seriously. Unmonitored,tardinesscouldquicklyresultin3unexcusedabsences,whichcouldleadtoacademicprobationand/ordismissal.Studentswhoaccumulateupto3(non-consecutive)unexcusedabsencesbymid-quarterwill face programwithdrawal unless theymeetwith their Academic Advisors todiscusstheirreasonsformissingclass. STANDARDSOFACADEMICPROGRESSANDGRADINGSYSTEMTheCornerstone Institute forAnointing expects full-on, engagingparticipation from studentswhile enrolled in order to increase their knowledge and job placement prospects. Studentsshallattendallcoursesrequiredtocompletetheirprogramandhavenomorethanthree (3)unexcused absences perQuarter. We assess student coursework on a standardA-F gradingsystem(seeimagebelow).StudentsmaintaininglessthanaB-gradepointaveragewithinanyof their courses shall request one-on-one tutoring from their instructor. Each student’sperformance is evaluated per their attendance, class participation, attitude, commitment,completedclassassignmentsandexaminations.Acumulativeofallgradesinthesecategorieswillbetakenintoconsiderationtoobtainthefinalgrade.Inspecialcircumstanceswhenresourcespermit,theInstitutemaybeabletoprovidein-kindordiscountedtutoringservices.Studentswhofailanygivencoursemayre-takeitwithnoadditional charge. Should the student fail again, they will be responsible for retaking thecourse(s) at their own expense. In an effort to be as proactive and supportive as possible,Instructorsprovidebi-weeklyprogressreportstostudents,whichincludegrademarksforeachclass accompanied by specific comments and feedback. Mid-term grades are emailed tostudents6weeksintotheQuarter,andfinalgradesarepostedwithinoneweekafterthefinaldayofclasses.Attheendofeachquarter,ouradministrationasksstudentstocompleteawrittenevaluationform,whichasksthemtoprovidecandiddetailsabouttheirexperiencesintheformofmultiplechoiceandopen-endedquestions. Studentsmust complete theevaluationbefore their finalgradesarereleased.Theschoolalsoinvestsinindependentconsultants,suchasMathematica,toevaluatetheeffectivenessofourprograms. Theschoolalsotracksstudentprogressuptoone-year after graduation. Academic Advisors check-in with students to learn of theiremployment status and whether have or plan to continue their education. The instituteincorporatesthesestatisticsintoitsannualreportandpublicadvertisingmaterial.Wealsousetheinformationfromallevaluationsourcesmentionedtoimproveprogramsuccess.

PROBATION,DISMISSALANDRE-ADMISSIONStudentswhoreceiveunsatisfactorygrademarks(fail)ontheirmid-termreportwillbesubjecttoacademicprobation.Studentsonacademicprobationwillhavetheremainingsixweeksofclass to improve theirgradesandmust receive satisfactorymarks fromthatpoint forward inorder tohave theirprobation status clearedand toavoiddismissal. Shoulda student fail toreceivepassingmarksontheirexamsandcourseworkwithinthesix-weektimeframe,theywillbecomeeligiblefordismissal.Studentsfacingdismissalmustagreeandadheretoanacademicsuccessplan intended toget themon the right track. Suchplanswillalwaysbecraftedbyastudent’s Academic Advisor and Instructor. Students have twoweeks from their agreementexecution date to show progress. Should the student fail within this period, they will bedismissed andwill forfeit their tuition. Studentswhoare formally dismissedmustwait one-yearfromthedateoftheirleavetoreapply.Studentswhodisplayunsatisfactoryconductandposeasafetyrisktotheinstitutewillbedismissedoutrightandwillnotbeeligibletoreapply.

STUDENTCODEOFCONDUCTThe Cornerstone Institute for Anointing strives to maintain exceptional standards as anacademicinstitutionandholdshighexpectationsforitsstudents.TheInstitutewilltakeactionagainstbehaviorsdeemedharmfulandthreateningwhetheramongstpeersorself-inflicted.Iffoundatfault,studentswhoviolatethebelowCodeofConductwillbedismissedandwillloseallreadmittancerights.StudentswhoareaccusedofviolatingtheCodeofConductwillreceiveverbal andwrittennotice from the school’s ExecutiveDirector (ED)within three (3) businessdays of the incident. The student will thenmeet with the ED for a preliminary informationgatheringsession.OncetheEDhastheaccusedstudent’sside,theywillcirclebacktotheinitialcomplaintandperforman internal investigationnottoexceedfive(5)businessdays. TheEDwillconversewithallpartiesnecessarytomakeawell-informeddecision.Atanypoint in thecase,studentsmayrequest,inwriting,informationrelatedtothecasedirectlyfromtheED.TheEDwillrespondtothestudentinthesamemethodwithin24-48hours.Studentsareresponsibleforexecutingthefollowingcodeofconduct:

• Refrainfromthesolicitationanduseofdrugsandalcoholwhileoncampus.• Donotsmokewithin50feetofcampus.• Berespectfulofothers’spaceanddonotcrossboundaries.
