It is possible to have flow control using the intermediate positions of the ball In every moment is known if the valve is open or closed by the handle position Watertightness Resistant to corrosion Light weight

Water hammers are possible if the handle is opened or closed suddenly It is usually used in little diameters (until D110) Not recommended in applications with particles in suspension as these could settle in the ball cavity and block it

Improvements – Extreme Series


▪ Reinforced unions:

All the threaded unions in all the materials are reinforced with a Stainless steel ring

With this, we can avoid possible problems of material expansion or thread deformity

▪ Longer unions:

All the socket or fusion unions have been enlarged

Fusion unions – the union will keep a correct lenght before the fusion and the loss of material

Socket unions – easier to install and more pipe distance inside the union, so the union is stronger

▪ Stainless steel inserts

All the insterts (top and bottom) have been replaced with stainless steel

Better resistance to corrosion

Better resistance in the thread (insertion and durability)

According to CE EN ISO 16135 - Industrial valves -- Ball valves of thermoplastics materials

ISO 16135:2006 specifies requirements for the design, functional characteristics and manufacture of ball valves made of thermoplastics materials intended for isolating service, for control service, and to divert/mix fluids, their connection to the pipe system, the body materials and their pressure/temperature rating between -40 degrees Celsius and + 120 degrees Celsius, for a lifetime of 25 years, and also specifies their tests.

Quality

▪ Tests on assembled valves (according to european standards):

- Pressure

- Watertightness

- Packaging

- Traceability

▪ Watertightness test:

- Applied to 100% of Cepex valves production.

- Air is injected inside the valve through a microfugometer.

- The valve passes the test if no air-leaks happen.

- In the Extreme Series, the leakeage test is also made with water for better reliability
