Liberia 33,000 SA/LW and 45 MANPADS destroyed.

Weapons were collected through UN-led DDRprocess.

United States is lead nation for  first phase of  the NATO-Pf P project.

Plans to destroy 133,000 tons of munitions, 1.5 million SA/LW and 1,000 MANPADS over  12 years at a cost of  over $28 million to donors.

85,000 SA/LW and 1,012 MANPADS were destroyed in 2007.

Largest destruction project of  its kind.

Afghanistan More than 91,800 SA/LW and 101 MANPADS destroyed

3,847 tons of munitions destroyed since 2005

Sudan 187 light weapons and 21 MANPADS destroyed

 At least 152,640 pieces of  assorted munitions destroyed

PM/WRA takes an integrated approach to address 

threats posed by excess or  abandoned ordnance and SA/LW stockpiles in bilateral, post-conflict projects.
