GIOTTO DI BONDONE IMPORTANT PAINTER
1300 (START OF RENAISSANCE )
In 1300, Giotto started to draw and paint
realistic paintings with new idea and
techniques for example, Giotto painted the
throne of the Virgin Mary with open sides
and he showed two bearded men looking
through the openings. In th is way, heincreased the feeling that the scene is not
flat and not 2D by opening the sides and
shading in different tones of colors
realistically. However, Giotto stil l kept the
tradition of the medieval arts by making
Mary virgin larger than the angelssurrounding her. His realistic style became
popular after his death and it revolutionized
other paintings in Italy which became a
strong influence on the Renaissance artists
in 1400s which also influenced todays arts
(modern art).

printing press. After that, he star ted to
publish some books and Bibles. Th is is
because he wanted people to read the
bibles and other books. Without this
invention, there will not be this much
books getting published and it would be
harder to find them. This creation had
helped people read and get imagination
and knowledge. Without this invention, not
a lot of people will not be able to read
books and learn a lot of different things.
There is also the newspaper which can give

impact and a change to the world now because it had helped people expand
lands and territories. This also ma de people want to discover new lan ds
which let us know more about the world. It has made a difference to us
because now, people are able to map down the countries in the world and the
different cultures in the world. It had ma de our understanding of the worldclearer and the human ities terms and geographical location clearer to us. If
Christopher Columbus never tried to discover new places, we wouldnt be able

In 1503 to 1519, Leonardo de Vinci painted
the Mona Lisa. Mona Lisa is a picture of a
woman that is named Lisa and she had a
smile which makes the audience wonder and
think deeper about this painting about her
expressions. The Mona Lisa is the mostfamous painting in the world right now this
piece is the most expensive painting in the
world. The painter, Leonardo Davinci, had
used new techniques and shading so that the
picture had a 3 dimensional shape. This made
the picture more realistic. Nowadays, artistsfrom all over the world uses the same
techniques to make the paintings more life
like and 3 dimensional. Without the Mona
Lisa, we wouldnt have this type of art in our
modern world today.

In 1512 Niccolo Machiavelli wrote a book
and/or thesis on his perspective on being
a good leader is like. This book contains
things that were offensi ve to the churches
in the renaissance time and most of them
were about people being un honest andcunning. People bought the book and that
had leaded people to lie and things that
were against the catholic churches.
People have interpreted his book which
was called the prince and now people
are following things that were in the book .This had made an impact because with out
him, people will not be able to contribute
their own opinion and break the rules,
however without this, we would follow the
rules and not break them and not get in to
trouble.

In about 1520, Martin Luther had
nailed the 95 thesis that he wrote to
the door of a catholic church. The
thesis was to complain and argue about
the problems of the Church which hedisagreed with and did not like. He was
put into the Inquisition and cal led a
heretic for doing this crime but some
people agreed with him. Now, people
are still believing in the religion he
made which is Lutheranism. People
cared and agreed to him and that is
because people have different
perspectives on things. Nowadays,
people can make their own ideas and
decisions.

In 1559, Queen Elizabeth was the first
queen to ever rule with out a king . She
ruled without a kind for 45 years and
this had proved to the world that
woman are just like men and they cando every thing like a man. This had
made a huge impact on the world
because women will get the same
amount of education as any one in the
work. Now, people know that women
are as smart as any man and they can
get jobs and be educated. Without
powerful women, like Elizabeth the
first, women could be know as weak.

In the Renaissance time period (era), the Inquisition took
place all over the renaissance and this made a lot of people
fear of the church and fear of doing bad things because they
would be punished after that. They made people rethink
about the Church and made people be more aware of it.Nowadays, we also have punishment whether it is small
crimes of very big crimes because this will make people think
about what they are doing and making them realizes is this
the right thing to do or not.

In 1666, Isaac Newton was sittingunderneath an apple tree when anapple fell down on his head. Soonafter when that happened, hestarted to research about gravity. This made a huge change because
scientists will be able tounderstand the knowledge ofscience and the space more. It isimportant because without histheory, we would be lost and wewould still be wondering about it.This has helped us with space
travel and finding out new thingsl ike the curiosity that landed inMars. If Isaac Newton hadntfigured this out, we could sti ll bewondering about gravity and theplanets.
