Gen 11:5 Then the LORD came down to see the city and the tower which they had built, Gen 11:6 and he said, "Now then, these are all one people and they speak one language; this is just the beginning of what they are going to do. Soon they will be able to do anything they want!

-Unity that is not in line with God’s plan, will always be destroyed.

-Don’t unite with others to commit evil.

Proverb 4:14-15

Pro 4:14 Do not go where evil people go. Do not follow the example of the wicked. Pro 4:15 Don't do it! Keep away from evil! Refuse it and go on your way.

Psalm 26: 4 - 5

Psa 26:4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. Psa 26:5 I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.

Matthew 18:19-20

Mat 18:19 "And I tell you more: whenever two of you on earth agree about anything you pray for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. Mat 18:20 For where two or three come together in my name, I am there with them."

There is authority and power in the prayer of unity, the united action of two (or more) people amorously working together have a greater total effect

When we are united together the Father takes action in heaven on our request

The presence of Jesus Christ will be in our midst on earth

Psalm 133:1-3

Psa 133:1 How wonderful it is, how pleasant, for God's people to live together in harmony! Psa 133:2 It is like the precious anointing oil running down from Aaron's head and beard, down to the collar of his robes. Psa 133:3 It is like the dew on Mount Hermon, falling on the hills of Zion. That is where the LORD has promised his blessing--- life that never ends.

Unity with Christ bring blessing that will never end.

Unity brings victory, joy and the favour of God

If a family is united together, they will experience the peace of God and the blessing that will never end

John 17:20-21

Joh 17:20 "I pray not only for them, but also for those who believe in me because of their message. Joh 17:21 I pray that they may all be one. Father! May they be in us, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they be one, so that the world will believe that you sent me.

Jesus prayed for us to be spiritually united by:

Living in Him

Knowing and experiencing the love of the Father and the fellowship of Christ.

Separating ourselves from the world.

2Co 6:14 Do not try to work together as equals with unbelievers, for it cannot be done. How can right and wrong be partners? How can light and darkness live together? 2Co 6:15 How can Christ and the Devil agree? What does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?

2Co 6:16 How can God's temple come to terms with pagan idols? For we are the temple of the living God! As God himself has said, "I will make my home with my people and live among them; I will be their God, and they shall be my people."

We must have a sincere desire to be led into the righteous ways of God and the truth of His word

We must be eager to wait upon God all the days of our lives

We must humble and submit to God

Eph 4:2

Eph 4:2 Be always humble, gentle, and patient. Show your love by being tolerant with one another.

We must commit ourselves to godly living and fear.

We must desire in our heart to bring salvation to the lost.

Who have you united your life to, is it to God or the things of the world?
